The Dell I am replacing (S3422DWG) is ultra-wide and has a 1800 curvature, almost making this one look flat.
I am happy to be moving from WQHD to UHD.
BTW, I went to the Samsung site and applied for EPP to buy it. I had to get a login.gov ID for my SS account. I then was able to get it at EPP price. What was weird, that was on my tablet. When I moved over to my PC I was unable to log in, and when I finally did, it removed the EPP discount saying I wasn't eligible. I had Samsung on the phone and they couldn't explain it. They said I hadn't been verified for EPP so they don't know how I was able to do it. I even sent them a screenshot so they confirmed I had it in my cart for $390. They said to buy it through the tablet which I did. I don't know if the CB 10% will go through though.
Not sure if I'm reading what you wrote incorrectly, some info for you or anyone not sure about curvatures. 1000r is more curved than 1800r.
I have this. I have to use to for both work and gaming. For that dual purpose, it's really good. Gaming using Xbox, the color is bright and HDR works wonderfully. I also watch Netflix, and it's also good. Work is work, so not much to say about it except that I needed non-OLED monitor. The only cons is that the monitor produces a lot of heat. You can touch the screen and it's warm.
I don't notice it. But now that you've asked, I guess I kind of like the bit of curve because the monitor is so big and considering it's VA, the ends of the monitor comes at my eyes more perpendicular, which helps with the fading gray that's present when you try to see the monitor from an angle.
I actually order 3 of these yesterday but canceled after seeing the review on hardware/ monitors unboxed. This particular panel has horrible ghosting out out the entire lineup. The 32 inch version of the same monitor did not have the same ghosting issues. Was reading around 18-32 ms. That's what killed it for me.
edit.. this was for the 42in g7. apologies.

For those who have gone from IPS to VA panels, was it a big adjustment? I know it will vary by model, but I have hesitated going away from IPS once I made the switch from TN to IPS years ago. I would say that 'm a casual user. Thanks for any feedback.
