Incredible deal for one of the best x86 handhelds out now. Yes there is a newer version which significantly improves battery life and only slightly improves performance. This first gen model is still very capable.

Paid $400 for my fair condition last year. I use it more than my console. So far it's handled Howgarts legacy, Ghosts of Tshima, spiderman remaster and miles morales all on high settings. It's indeed capable but make sure an outlet or powerbank is around cause it gives me about 45 mins on battery alone. Power source also enables higher gaming performance.

I have legion go and I see the benefit of having a larger and better screen but your arms get really tired after playing for 30 mins.

it is not a :better: system..

It is not as portable, the 2k display gets wasted on such a small screen, and UI still has issues

Replaced my NVME to a 2TB one. Plenty of space now.

I may upgrade the battery in the future but not a big priority.

Got the non extreme and swapped the back for better air flow and a kickstand. The non extreme is still pretty impressive got it for $355 open box 6months ago. Anything crazy I just steam link it to my pc when I wanna be more portable. These are both way better than the steam deck imo I had it before the ally.

This thing is fantastic. SD Card reader works fine on mine too. Got it on the last Best Buy clearance of them, and it's been flawless so far for any Steam Deck-supported game. Plus Battle Net, GOG Galaxy, etc.

I have one and I love it. Ironically I don't use it primarily for gaming, but it's a sweet device to have lying around to pick up from time to time. It really is just a mini computer with a game controller built in. Great specs and overall good, but it still has some weird glitches once in a while. At what I paid, ($380) it's definitely worth it.

Buying one of these got me to play my Switch way more. When things work the Ally is solid, but I've had so many issues with Windows updates and general Windows 11 aggravations and incompatibility on games that should work. Mine sits. Need to sell it while I can still get a couple hundred for it.
