It takes some configuring, but I've had good experiences with using Google Family to manage my kids devices.
1. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your permanent phone.
2. Activate your "donor" phone on the same account.
3. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your new, donor phone.
4. Go to support.tracfone.com and scroll down to and click "Chat with Support".
5. Populate the message template below with details of your donor phone and permanent phone and share with the CSR.

Actually, I used the rewards and bought the iPhone from tracfone and activated it with the sim card inside on my old line. I just recognized that it can't be unlocked in this way. The agent told me that only way is to buy a new line/service for this iPhone and wait 60 days.
Do you think it's too slow for the above?

I've been helping a neighbor with Tracfone. I told her to do it online, but nooooo. She insisted on activating her new phone by calling them. Then she complained to me that it took her 90 minutes to get her new phone activated, and that she was tearing her hair out.
