Couple non-obvious issues with these that I discovered. First, they should ideally be in a fixture with the socket pointing down. While it will work pointing up, the camera is unable to see close by toward the ground. If you have it next to a door, for instance, you won't be able to see everything (underneath being an obvious blindspot). Also, if you put this into a fixture behind glass panes, the night vision does not work due to reflections. You can use the regular camera but not with the light.

Great little device for the price though.

Just got mine. Won't connect to my router. I have a dual 2,4 and 5Ghz router, but no luck. Anyone else have a similar issue?

Listing states up to 128GB cards are supported, but I have two running 256GB Samsung Endurance microSD cards without issue. Pop them in, use the camera to format the card, and they're ready to go.

I have mine set to record 24/7 at full resolution with sound and I get about 64 days of recording time.

I wondered the same thing. I've done some searching and can find nothing whatsoever to suggest that it offers RTSP. Would have made a cheap and easy addition to my UniFi Protect system. Oh, well.
I got this from the previous deal. I contacted LaView support and he told me this model will not work with RTSP or ONVif. He sent me the firmware for this camera to give it a try but it did not.....I will try thy thingino when I get a chance.

I bought one of these and was surprised how well it performed for the price (on sale). $13 make this a good start into home and yard monitoring.

I see that the open source firmware exists but how in the fark would you install it without buying a bunch of weird one-time-use hardware for that purpose? The wiki doesnt say you can do tool-less on this lightbulb

Picked up two, great entry level item for home monitoring. Great quality, lots of customization and options. Yes, there are alerts and motion detection push notifications, etc, to the person who asked

I had an issue like this. I previously purchased the 2 pack, and the first one connected to 5ghz, but the second one would not (both were 2.4). Customer support was not helpful. I had to basically go into my router and set up a guest network that was only 2.4ghz to get it to connect.

20% coupon seems to be dead. I was looking at this last night but didn't pull the trigger, no coupon showing now.

Bought two of them last yearat about the same price. One stopped working in six months. They sent me a replacement. But I'm not sure how long they will last. You get what you paid for.
