Anyway, if your goal is retro gaming, a Raspberry Pi is smaller and more energy-efficient for these types of tasks, but honestly, once you add in a case, a good power supply (RPi's are picky with respect to power...), and storage, it is probably at the same price or even more than this $130 machine. But if you are interested in more modern gaming or more powerful emulation, this system would be better and give you more flexibility for future upgrades.
Just saying buyers might want to read up.

That said, it does work nicely for what it can do and it's really tiny. If I wanted a dedicated emulation box, a batocera install on this would net you a capable 16 bit machine up to some PS1 and Dreamcast. Don't expect to run anything higher with any reliability as the integrated graphics do have their limit.
I was chasing the hackintosh thing off and on for a while and never really got down to doing it right. Admittedly, I guess I didn't put in the work to fully learn everything. I recently was going to give it another go and ultimately bought a 2014 Mac mini with decent specs for $135 on eBay.
I didn't even know about the NUT, will be checking that one out. iperf and meshsense are interesting as well.
Thanks for sharing.
Anyone else??
