I took advantage of this deal last time. After activating the phone, I transferred the eSIM to my iPhone 15. Now, 60 days later, Visible is refusing to unlock the phone, claiming that the service must stay active on the iPhone 13 for the full 60 days before unlocking. Really disappointed.

Would it bother you to spend 10 hours resolving an issue? I'd weigh that against whatever money you're saving on this plan.
LOL…. Although I am not visible for last 3 years when I was with visible with promo, never had issue if we follow their rules. Any carrier has complains, but visible is one of the best in giving out promos.

Once you purchase the phone with the Visible+ plan on a particular phone number, can you change the phone number or does it have to be attached to the same phone number for the entire year.

Warning! Last December, I took advantage of this offer and the phone ended up having an internal issue—it wouldn't charge the battery. The Visible team refused to replace the device and the only option they gave me was to return the phone and cancel the service. They even told me that these phones are basically being cleared out, which is why they're on sale. In the end, I sent it to Apple since I saw it was still under warranty, and they resolved the issue—it turned out to be related to a hardware component tied to the sound system.

So if I do this and want to sell it after 2 months, what's the best and most reliable way to check to see if it was unlocked? Try and port to AT&T? Call them?

I don't want to sell it and then get notice from the buyer that they cannot use the phone.

Inside phone general settings you'll see network status as Unlocked and yes, you can put any Sim and check as well.

60 days from date device was activated. continuing active visible service makes no difference for unlock.
I did it last time, and they want 60 days of continuous service, meaning the Visible SIM card needs to be in the iPhone for 60 days, for the iPhone to get unlocked. I got this chatting with a rep, not sure if he was in a bad mood or not, but be prepared to use this phone. I'm kinda stuck using it now. He said taking the SIM card out resets the counter, so it's not just 60 days of paid service.
