It might be a niche application, but this is about the best deal on a DIRAC pre/pro if you only need 9ch of processing. I got mine a good bit cheaper used locally, but had I not, I'd probably have jumped on this or the previous $579 price without much hesitation.
Some clarification:
This does include the same full bandwidth of Dirac Live the RZ50 has.
DLBC is available on the RZ50 but it also only has mono/parallel sub outs as this does.
Most people don't value DLBC anyways, not sure it's much of a benefit.
With the advent of A1EVO Dirac no longer has an advantage over Audyssey!!!
It's only cost you $20 & you don't even need to buy a new AVR!
You also don't lose sub correction/integration.

Why is this triggering to you? Are you financially impacted if someone's OPINION is that Dirac might be better than Audyssey?!!!
LOL triggered!
I'm not the one questioning anyone's "OPINION".
I provided very relevant information to that opinion, I'll ask again why is this an issue? 🤔

Bought one of these during the holiday sale. Overall solid but It does have some hang ups. The app just straight up stopped working a month into owning it and nothing I do will get it to connect. I also have an issue with my lg g3 recognizing the connection when I open apps on the tv. I have to disconnect and reconnect the hdmi cable to get it to work again.

Since this is a clone of the Onkyo, what worked for my Onkyo app can't find the receiver issue was unplugging the receiver for a count of 5 then power back on. It happened frequently AF for me.
For the HDMI connection handshaking issue you describe, it *could* be that the HDMI cable doesn't really meet HDMI 2.1 standards where the TV and receiver do If you don't have a 2.1 spare grab one of the 8k/2.1 cables from Amazon when they come on sale and see if swapping helps 🤞(if you bought this to replace a previous 2.1 receiver the cable is less likely to have spontaneously partially failed upon switching, personally I hate trouble shooting (e)arc and just use a streamer instead of my TV's apps despite it dropping things into 1080p due to other issues 😂)

Picked this up beginning of January for $579. Finally got it installed a few weeks ago and it's been working great. I took the opportunity to replace all of my HDMI cables with new HDMI 2.1 8K rates ones, brands include Monoprice, Cable Matters, and Ublunker, all from Amazon. Have watch a variety of HDR/Dolby Vision content via Kodi on a RPi4 through the AVR to LG C3, plus standard 720p, 1080p, and 1080i CTV via my Samsung DVR. Everything has been working great.
Compared to the sister models from Onkyo and Pioneer, I think the Integra looks the worst by far, but for the price, and 5 year warranty (best of the three options), I was willing to overlook that. This is easily the best deal out of the comparable models.
Been out of the loop for some time - How's something like this compared to my current Pio Elite SC-37? Is mine still a strong receiver, or is it one of those things that the newer tech pretty much means mine's an old dog at this point? Running all Polk Series II speakers (NewEgg's line - not sure if it even exists anymore)

This won't drive your speakers as efficiently as the SC-37 does.
Now how big a difference that is sonically is the question no one can answer.
I would add, you should only switch AVRs because you NEED the new features imo.
The only real reason this is so popular is because of Dirac room correction.
It's the least expensive way to get it, that's what you would be paying for imo.

I'm looking at my Denon x1300w and wondering the same thing. It's at least 5-6 years old at this point. Relegate it to the basement second viewing area.
Happy with my 5.1.2 on the Yamaha TSR-700 but always wanted to try more speakers lol... temping at this price point.
It was never really worth it to me to spend 1k + on a 9 channel but at this price point... decisions.
Thats exactly what I have the TSR-700 with Klipsch RP-8000F, 504c, il40 surrounds and 2 monolith subs (a 15 and 12). Wondering if I would hear a huge difference in quality with this box or if it's worth upgrading. Does DIRAC calibration really make that big of a difference?

Appreciate the response! Will try and report back. For the cable it was a brand new 2.1 8k cable from amazon, its possible its a dud so ill try switching but it seems strange that the issue only happens when swapping to apps on the tv. I'll get no sound and when I reconnect the cable the tv will reread the input and fix everything so it feels like a g3 software bug but we'll see.

Well his current AVR doesn't do 9 channel Atmos so that's another potential reason for him.
Also his Pioneer Elite appears to have 7.1 inputs so in theory he still could use it to power up to seven channels (probably at least the LCR mains) of his setup taking load off the Integra's amplifier/power supply.

The Onkyo RZ50 was certainly selling for MSRP then and had waiting lists
