If you don't need a specific part or need a PSU or CPU Cooler, you can build the same combo here [newegg.com] or adjust to your liking using Newegg's Combo Builder.For example, you can swap out the RAM for a pair of 64GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5600MHz for $113.99, $38 more than the 32GB kit.
Or add an ASUS ROG Strix LC II 240 ARGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler for $94.99

Removing the RAM brings the price down to $587.98.
Removing the RAM and the motherboard brings the price down to $448.99

Is this a good build for a gaming pc for my 10 year old? Any suggestions on what case and graphics card to pair it with? Any other parts I would need? TIA.

Pass on this one - these are susceptible to Vmin shift instability and will degrade over time. It's listed right on Intel's site, a moderator posted the affected models, this is one of them: https://community.intel.com/t5/Pr...-p/1627800

Yeah, voltage request microcode algorithm changes, oxidation issues; 13th and 14th gen are sketchy.

No,14900K is notorious for high temp and heat, you need a beef power supply and very good 280 AIO to cool the CPU.

You'd better off with 14600K or 9700X, cheaper, far better thermal management and stability, a dual tower cooler is sufficient enough.

And I don't think 10 yr will notice any difference with CPU swap in minecraft.
