My Philips fully automatic is the best appliance I've ever bought because I have ADHD and also hate mornings. I wake up, push 2 buttons, and espresso comes out. That's it.
What model?

I have the Philips 3200 Lattego. Grab it on sale. The Lattego means it has the little milk canister you can keep in the fridge, hook onto the machine, and it'll make latte/cappuccino/etc. automatically.

I love it a lot and would probably step up to one of the higher end models but I don't know if people buy used coffee machines, lol.

What are some comparable models that I should compare this against. I checked the other two baristas and this has more pro features as expected. Also is fully automatic worth it and any in this price range?
I was in a similar debate, and wound up going Breville Bambino and Baratza Encore ESP. You get a better grinder and a machine that is still really solid. I might consider the refurbished Bambino Plus that popped up recently + a good grinder if still in the market. You're looking at like $500 and change for a net better result.

Is this a good starter machine for first timer ?
I would get bambino to start. The issue with these pricey breville is that you're close to higher end ones like profitec go. I used breville for 5yrs and recently upgraded to profitec go and it's noticeable improvement. The larger portafilter plus more consistent temp but my espresso taste much better.

Bought one Pro last Christmas and returned it. The built in grinder was terrible (even with the Baratza label on it). Would rather go with Bambino or even a cheaper espresso machine pairing with a separate grinder. You know the grinder and the beans are two most important things in the whole process.

Good deal. If you have a TJM near by worth the drive. Happen to be there with the mrs and found just one in stock $500 new in black (top of box has a small photo in corner of which is inside).
I am not 100% certain, but I think the ones at TJMaxx/HomeGoods/Marshalls are returns. So there is a little roll of the dice. Some people apparently have bought brand new ones (or at least unused returns), others were clearly used. The first one I found was clearly used and appeared to be missing some items and documentation. The second one was sealed with a security device on it, so I couldn't open it to check. So I bought it hoping it would be new. Nope - definitely used (coffee grounds, even a small amount of moisture in the tank, but the filter was unopened or replaced). I cleaned it up and kept it and am happy with it. But I'm not sure I would have bought it at $500 if I knew it had been used (albeit complete and in good shape).
So I would recommend if you find one at TJMaxx/Marshals/HomeGoods you open it up first to make sure it is unused. If the grinder has been used, it will be quite apparent visually and the coffee smell. Either that or go in knowing it is possibly going to be a used return and hope for the best. I am really happy with the machine. I just wish I could have got one of the brand new ones (or unused return) for $500.
It definitely took me a but of time and several shots to get the right combination. YouTube was a big help. I still do small tweaks, but once you even get it in the ballpark, it makes a great drink.

You need 20lbs of tap pressure and 40lbs of torque to make it right. I have to make my wife's espresso. Good luck single ladies or weak men

This is the new price and not a limited time special Apparently Breville lowered their prices across the board because they're loosing sales to that Ninja Luxe Cafe machine.
