PSA: Be careful if you're scheduled to pickup on Friday. The activation timer may starts on Friday but the CS aren't availble on weekends, which means you only have whatever hours left on Friday to attempt cancelling the line.

Nothing to add about this deal, but I got this phone a couple months ago and I have to say it's the best phone I've ever used. My wife got a Iphone 16 pro max and the camera on the Pixel 9 pro XL puts it to shame - especially when zoomed in. And the battery is usually around 40% when I go to bed at night after heavy use all day.

So if you're on the fence about this phone, don't be - you'll love it!

Slickkkk deal. Wish they had the normal non-XL version. I'm rocking a Pixel 7 and this jump up is a bit too much for me Frown

How do you rep the deal at the store? My local store has the phone and they said they will activate it. Is it ok to buy, activate at the store and close the line in 3 days?

I have given my primary number for port-in not knowing that I should not give that. I'm picking up my phone in-store. Can I just ask them to give new number rather than transfer my number?

So assume you get the phone and a sim, from Verizon or att. What is to keep me from just putting a mint sim in there and using it and never dealing with the carrier?

Wow you just walked in and got it without needing to provide any number info and it's unlocked?
Not sure, I haven't been able to head home just yet to check.

I picked the phone up from the customer service desk. I traded in a Google pixel 7 pro and got the 256 GB pixel 9 pro xl for $146 after tax. There was a sim affixed to the pixel 9 box, but I wasn't asked to activate or anything. (The associate asked for my number to verify my Best Buy account, but that was it.)

Really hoping I can just port my number into this phone without first having to activate then cancel a new Verizon number.

How did you handle your files? Did you transfer in-store or did you have your phone wiped before you walked in?

I just got home from BB. Traded pixel 8 pro ($260) for the 9 pro XL AND $161 on a BB gift card. I dont know what happened. I was expecting to be $39 out of pocket.
receipt says
1099 was price
-500 AT&T Actvn 1
-300 Google Coupon CPN BNDL 2
-200 sale discount
=$99
paid the 99 with the trade in gift card. The gift card's remaining balance was $161. I just hope there's no claw backs or anything when I cancel tomorrow.

my past experience with similar walmart iphone deal had been that the line autoactivates once you boot the phone with that sim. once activated, cancel the line within 3 days to get waiver of activation fee too, else you will be charged activation fee and pro rated for days if cancelled within 30 days.to cancel, call and give them reason like poor service etc. they will cancel it. you will still get billed so you would have to call them again after a week or two once final bill have been generated to get waiver of those charges.
Well, I'm in the 'same' boat. Picked up my phone. I confirmed it is unlocked (just made a couple calls on TMobile). However, I did not get any email or information from Verizon (re: sim or e-sim or account number). Best Buy did NOT give any Verizon sim. I am not sure how Verizon can find my account. Any thoughts?

So I just picked this phone up from best buy. It was not activated in store but they did give me a Verizon sim to activate it. Can I just skip doing that and port my current number over to it?
Yeah, you can do the cancellation now. The phone should work with any SIM you have.

My base Pixel 8 is only 7 months old and I can get $200 selling it. Doesn't seem to make sense for me to pay $200 just for 1 year newer, pro and XL.
