PSA: Be careful if you're scheduled to pickup on Friday. The activation timer may starts on Friday but the CS aren't availble on weekends, which means you only have whatever hours left on Friday to attempt cancelling the line.

Nothing to add about this deal, but I got this phone a couple months ago and I have to say it's the best phone I've ever used. My wife got a Iphone 16 pro max and the camera on the Pixel 9 pro XL puts it to shame - especially when zoomed in. And the battery is usually around 40% when I go to bed at night after heavy use all day.

So if you're on the fence about this phone, don't be - you'll love it!

Does it mean that you have to insert a SIM card at least once in a phone (at&t) before cancellation ? And what reason do you state when calling to cancel. Thanks
No I was talking about line activation,.not phone activation. Don't put the SIM card in that phone as you don't need to activate the phone. For cancellation you can say spotty signal at work/home and make sure the line is cancelled right away as they might set it to stop at the end of the billing cycle which you don't want. Refer to the one plus thread of more details.

In the Trade-in option, it doesn't give an option for an unlocked phone. I have iphone 13. Should I select any carrier for ordering online for pickup?

Port out automatically cancel the line, and I should not need to call ATT for anything right?
It does but I'd verify with ATT account online after that.

Just answered my own question. Online disconnect will wait until the end of the billing cycle to disconnect. I guess I'll call them tomorrow.
The CS reps are trained to do that by default as well, insist on cancelling right away

FYI, the line is activated when the order is ready to pickup or shipped (either to home or store). The phone is activated when you turn it on but the line is activated way b4 that.

How did you cancel the line? It seems the offices are closed on Sunday for AT&T. How did you call or chat with them to cancel the line?
Porting out the number to another cancels the line as well but you should check back with ATT account afterwards.

Can open with ATT, cancel the line and use the phone with TMobile?
Yes, that's the deal.

I bought with activation on Verizon $35 service and was planed to deactivate the service after activation. I am wondering if anyone can shed some light about the process and what I should be aware of. I saw another post about ATT&T but nothing about Verizon. Thanks!
They both are same in terms of opening account and dealing with bills later on. I do believe more have done with ATT but I'm not sure.

Has anyone got experience porting out Verizon instead of cancelling the line? If you port out within 3 days, is the activation still waived or you'll be charged the full month?
