$1000 cash back less:
- $95 annual fee
- $50-100 opportunity cost for spending $5000 on a card that only gives 1%cb when you could have gotten 2-3%cb.
Still over $800 tax-free profit. Not bad at all.
Considering it. I have one more application before I hit chase 5/24, then wait for a boosted amex gold or platinum bonus.
Any 0% apr period on this?
Will they treat a tax payment at pay1040 as a cash advance? Most credit card vendors treat it as a purchase.

I went to capital one and got a venture card. I don't appreciate chase pre approving me and then hitting me with a hard inquiry before saying my real drivers license isn't good enough. Telling me there is nothing I can do and hanging up the phone on me!

As such, it is general consensus in the credit card bonus community to wait for that second annual fee to post before attempting a cancelation or downgrade.
I counted only cash rewards.
I've never used door dash, so I didn't count that. Not a cash award, and not valuable to everyone.

Also, opinions on doing the trifecta? Worth it?
You don't have to be AU to transfer points between the accounts. The person who is transferring the point will call Chase and tell them to transfer point to another CC account.
1. Price drop protection for flights
2. $300 annual travel credit, that is directly available at the time of booking
3. Cover the TSAPre/GE fees every 4 years
4. 10,000 bonus points added to your account every year
5. Priority pass membership for primary of authorized users with unlimited access to lounges across globe (that allows each membership to take 2 guests in addition with you).
Venture X charges a fee of $395 that gets covered with $300 travel credit and 10,00 bonus points every year, making it technically no fee card.
If you don't want to wait, you can still use the 60k referral to apply and then contact customer service to match the bonus with the 100k offer.

I take blame for my credit security review but having to wait 2 weeks for a physical letter is so annoying. Not sure why they can't just inform me over the phone or let me know by email the results of my application. I'm already planning going the Amex route. This is probably the last Chase application for me. Been a customer for 20 years, checking, savings and cfu.
On that note, what are popular ways to spend $5k? I'm pretty frugal so based on my last 3 months, it might tough to make $5k. And that would require shifting all my other CC spends to this new card.
Online usually lasts about a month (you'll see a notice saying going away soon)
referral link date is supposedly 8 Apr, offer is usually around a month online (there will be a disclaimer up saying leaving soon when close)
