Integra is Onkyo premium line. Like Marantz is Denon premium line.

I'm not. That's exactly my point. At $570, the Integra is a much better deal. Best you'll do on the X3800H is $1200 refurb on Accessories4Less. I'd take the Integra over the Denon all day at these prices.
Actually refurb was recently $975 directly from Denon.
To be fair you get a lot more extra features with the 3800 for the extra cost.

No different than paying extra for this for the pre outs or longer warranty.

So depends how you look at it.
For the extra $400 you get 4800/RZ70 features.

agreed. it is a far better deal. your comparison is a bit lopsided comparing a new integra unit (5 year warranty) to a refurb denon (1 year warranty). comparing new products the difference is staggering as a new denon (still has less warranty) with dirac capability will set you back over $2K. literally 3.5X the cost of this deal.

What additional features do you get on the X3800H over the DRX-3.4?

Processes 11 channels, independent sub outs(of 4), support for them, independent pre amp mode for each channel, access to Dirac's subwoofer correction/integration including highly rumored to their latest RC of ART in the near future.

Not to mention the new A1EVO script which gives pretty much the full suite of Dirac performance for $20!

DRX 3.4 also processes 11 channels (5.2.4/7.2.2)
DRX 3.4 has pre-outs
Full bandwidth Dirac is included for free

Idk man. I don't see Dirac Bass Control (which you'd have to pay an additional $600 to access) as being worth the additional cost. I think the Integra is a MUCH better deal at current market prices. If the Integra was consistently $1000 new, I could see an argument. But at $570, it's kind of a no-brainer.

That's only 9 channels.

When using the pre outs on the 3800 you can disengage the internal amps individually.
Even the RZ70 doesn't offer that.

The Dirac this includes(DLFB) is only for loudspeakers and does not correct any subwoofers.
It does not offer Dirac's subwoofer correction/integration.

If Dirac the priority I would go RZ30 for $799/$750.
The $200 gets you independent sub outs & access to Dirac's subwoofer correction/integration.

I'm with you. Sticks out like a sore thumb.

I'm sure a lot of people on this thread have the receivers behind glass or hidden.

youtube is not the best place to get AV information. There are many better dedicated AV forums to use for that. this integra unit should be a decent upgrade over that denon model. it has a full set of pre-outs for better expandability, 25% more power, more processing channels and Dirac (best RC software at this price point). Integra also has a much better warranty (5 years).
YouTube is where you get all your disinformation.

The good:

amazing sound with quality speakers - IMHO with AVRs the speakers are 9/10th of the law, AVR is distant secondary. I have yet to add a subwoofer to my system and do a Dirac setup and I'm alrady very pleased with the results in my house basement

The bad:

eArc return audio does not work with my LG C4 77 OLED, or I should say sometimes it does, most of the time it doesn't... no matter the cables or the settings or the updates or the factory resets etc. I had to disable it and, instead, use the TV's optical output into Integra's optical input, which limits me to 5.1 but that's fine, my serfous viewing - 2160p movies - is done over the home network via Onn 4k TV box streamer and that pushes all audio formats - DTS and TrueHD - via HDMI without a problem. In fact, the LG's native media player is definitely inferior to the Onn, so no harm done.

Hope that helps someone decide.

BTW if anyone has a suggestion as to how to fix the eARC audio return by all means, don't hesistate to pitch in, thanks
If I read this correct, try resetting the vocal, bass back to 0. It starts messing up when you tweak those settings

Ah I didn't realize LFEs didn't count as channels. My b.

Dirac Live Full Bandwidth does actually correct one subwoofer channel. It won't let you correct multiple subs independently, but it does correct your low end frequency response.

Where are you seeing RZ30 for $750? Best I see is $999. Regardless, DLBC is a $300 addon, so you're comparing a $1300 option to a $570 option. I'm not really sure how that isn't apples to oranges.

I agree. That was the point I was trying to make. Though I see how it came across poorly. At $579, there's really not a better value AVR on the market. If the Denon X3800H came down to $600, I could see there being arguments being made to go either way. But earlier in the thread, a commenter was asking if they should get this or the X3800H. And at their current prices, no, that commenter should not get the X3800H. For the same price? Harder decision.

It's $799 now but was $750 prior and $750 OB from EE.
Some that bought the OB stated it looked brand new, believing it was.
https://www.electronicsexpo.com/p...a017&_ss=r

Dirac Live does not offer any correction(integration) for subwoofers, that is all in their Bass Control RC.
Dirac Live uses the AVRs bass management to calculate the subwoofer(s) into its calibration.

For $200 getting that option if needed In the future may be worth it to some.
Not to mention this is 4+ years old, the RZ30 was released last October.

Well depends on your prospective.
For double the price over this. you get pretty much everything the $2k RZ70(& more) gives you.
Pre outs negate power difference and A1EVO negates Dirac.
Thats a lot of value imo!
