To be fair you get a lot more extra features with the 3800 for the extra cost.
No different than paying extra for this for the pre outs or longer warranty.
So depends how you look at it.
For the extra $400 you get 4800/RZ70 features.

Not to mention the new A1EVO script which gives pretty much the full suite of Dirac performance for $20!

DRX 3.4 has pre-outs
Full bandwidth Dirac is included for free
Idk man. I don't see Dirac Bass Control (which you'd have to pay an additional $600 to access) as being worth the additional cost. I think the Integra is a MUCH better deal at current market prices. If the Integra was consistently $1000 new, I could see an argument. But at $570, it's kind of a no-brainer.

When using the pre outs on the 3800 you can disengage the internal amps individually.
Even the RZ70 doesn't offer that.
The Dirac this includes(DLFB) is only for loudspeakers and does not correct any subwoofers.
It does not offer Dirac's subwoofer correction/integration.
If Dirac the priority I would go RZ30 for $799/$750.
The $200 gets you independent sub outs & access to Dirac's subwoofer correction/integration.
I'm sure a lot of people on this thread have the receivers behind glass or hidden.

amazing sound with quality speakers - IMHO with AVRs the speakers are 9/10th of the law, AVR is distant secondary. I have yet to add a subwoofer to my system and do a Dirac setup and I'm alrady very pleased with the results in my house basement
The bad:
eArc return audio does not work with my LG C4 77 OLED, or I should say sometimes it does, most of the time it doesn't... no matter the cables or the settings or the updates or the factory resets etc. I had to disable it and, instead, use the TV's optical output into Integra's optical input, which limits me to 5.1 but that's fine, my serfous viewing - 2160p movies - is done over the home network via Onn 4k TV box streamer and that pushes all audio formats - DTS and TrueHD - via HDMI without a problem. In fact, the LG's native media player is definitely inferior to the Onn, so no harm done.
Hope that helps someone decide.
BTW if anyone has a suggestion as to how to fix the eARC audio return by all means, don't hesistate to pitch in, thanks

Dirac Live Full Bandwidth does actually correct one subwoofer channel. It won't let you correct multiple subs independently, but it does correct your low end frequency response.
Where are you seeing RZ30 for $750? Best I see is $999. Regardless, DLBC is a $300 addon, so you're comparing a $1300 option to a $570 option. I'm not really sure how that isn't apples to oranges.
Some that bought the OB stated it looked brand new, believing it was.

Dirac Live does not offer any correction(integration) for subwoofers, that is all in their Bass Control RC.
Dirac Live uses the AVRs bass management to calculate the subwoofer(s) into its calibration.
For $200 getting that option if needed In the future may be worth it to some.
Not to mention this is 4+ years old, the RZ30 was released last October.

For double the price over this. you get pretty much everything the $2k RZ70(& more) gives you.
Pre outs negate power difference and A1EVO negates Dirac.
Thats a lot of value imo!
