Variable speed is killer. Go for the extra pixies tho on the 6.2-Amp, you can't add extra power later Frown

I have one of these. It's variable speed but still via pulleys (not VFD), and it may not quite get to the max or min advertised speeds. The chuck is pretty mediocre and out of the box will probably have a lot of runout. It's not a fine piece of machinery but it's a $200 reasonably sized and powered press. I actually think this is about the normal price, but for whatever reason it's almost never in stock on Amazon (and it looks like it's already out of stock there) - but it's the same price at Home Depot, in stock, and has been for a while.
