The second one I have on another fence post, but during 3/4 of the year, between the angle of the sun and a nearby tree's branches growing out, it gets light but tends to not get direct sunlight. During these months, it triggers a 30 second motion activated clip maybe once per day, and loses about 1% battery per day, so I have to manually charge it about once every 2 months.
by contrast, I also put up a Blink outdoor camera with the extended battery pack right next to the Eufy one I have in direct sunlight. Despite the extended battery pack that was supposed to last an advertised 4 years, I just had to replace one of the 4 batteries last week. I tested all the batteries in it, 3 of the batteries were nearly full while 1 was completely dead, causing the blink camera to not work anymore until replacing that 1 battery. so there's definitely a problem with the Blink camera in regards to it's battery pack, although it did last about 9 months anyway off just that one battery, triggering just slightly less often than the Eufy camera.

Maybe replacing cameras every few years is just an expectation (seems that way, same as cell phones I guess) but it is frustrating...
