Deal Details
Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

Some phones do require 2 codes, the edge plus isn't one of them. their system must have just spit out both for whatever odd reason. glad you got it sorted.
Thanks, do you or does anyone else have any theories on why this phone is so ridiculously easy to unlock? It is very rare these days to be able to get a cheap unlock code for a flagship phone like this.
What makes it easy to unlock is having the algorithm for the codes or access to a database and with the user being able to tell the phone to unlock if they have the code instead of receiving a signal from the carrier telling it what to do it definitely works out. Not many of the recent phones can be and this is the last of the good ones.

Smart Connect works for PC, tablet, TV and streaming device. I can use Smart Connect (wirelessly) with my Motorola G Stylus 2025 and my Amazon Fire stick. I get desktop mode. Both will be dependant on wifi. I tried to use data and hotspot and it won't work. When I try Smart Connect with my Motorola G Stylus 2025 and a google chromecast, it won't work but will just do screen mirroring similar to how my pixel 9a works with chromecast. The Motorola G Stylus 2025 doesn't have Ready For (wired capability).
Thanks, didn't know it worked with Firestick mirror mode. Odd it works for that but not Android TV.

Yes, has to have USB 3 for display out(Smart Connect,) no wifi involved. My pixel 9 Pro XL has display out, but only a janky developer mode desktop, that's nowhere near as nice and functional as this phone.

Unfortunately in the US, Motorola only sells their mid to low end phones now, without USB 3.0, unless you want a foldable razr. This is the last us sold Motorola, other than foldables, that has it.

I guess one could buy a European edge 50 Ultra. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 16gb of Ram, 125w charging.

Yes, only for the code. If you go to the activation page on Boosts website the IMEI will be there. There's a few different ways they reveal it but it is on your account dashboard now.

FYI - after upgrading to Android 15, I found that the AppCloud app (that installs bloatware) got enabled after I had disabled it while on Android 14. So a bunch of bloatware like games got installed after I restarted the phone for the Android 15 upgrade. I had to go back into Settings > Apps to disable it again and then uninstall all the bloatware.

Also, I noticed that the Mobile Applications Manager system app that I disabled while on Android 14 is no longer in the system app listing anymore. Not sure if it got renamed.

It's not 2023, so not really a flagship anymore.

Motorola phones have lots of unlock-related issues. Most Motorola Metro/T-Mobile phones can be remote unlocked due to a bunch of different flaws - only fixed with the 2025 line. The ones that take a code (like this one) have had the database of unlock codes leaked long ago.

If the phone takes a code, it's pretty easy.

Some phones that don't use a code - like Pixels - are also very easy.

I have a Pixel 6 on Android 16. You mention it is easy to unlock. Could you share that info? I've tried the process that uses the adb codes. It unlocks, but after a few minutes, it stops working and says the SIM can't be used.

There are lots of vendors on the Seller section on GSMHosting offering remote unlocks that are permanent for $50 or less. No ADB silliness - unlocks and stays unlocked, forever.

I just removed it, along with other bloat apps.https://github.com/samolego/Canta
