10/3/2025.
Reports are that boost may may changed their T & C.
(Around 10/1/2025 . maybe, not clear)
Requiring activating phone and using service for some time.
(3 months?).
Do your research.
However, may not matter much as phone appears to be gone for good from boost website.

You must activate the phone on boost network within 30 days of purchase.
If not you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
best practice=open the phone. activate the boost account. make a call or 2. send a text or 2
phone call &/or text just insures the phone number has been fully registered on the boost network
while not entirely necessary, just to be safe.
and not get a $600 bill or get sent to collections
[ which has happened to at least one user on this thread ]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
make sure u activate.
By checking this box I agree to e-transaction/e-signature, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions. Once activated I authorize Boost Mobile to automatically charge my card monthly for my Boost Mobile services, taxes and surcharges. My service will not begin until my SIM is activated. If you do not activate your Device(s) on the Boost Mobile network within 30 days of purchase, you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s) (less your purchase price), if applicable, to the card used today or any alternative method. . I also agree to receive communications regarding this order via email, SMS, or phone call using the contact information provided

Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:
For example. Below is from a user.
My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

My recent order was one of the unsuccessful unlocks with thrifty.
So I had to go to thru
gsmunlockusa DOT com
It was $5 deposit through PayPal. And the code cost $1.95.
But here we are!
so are u saying one method failed, but the other was successful?
that is odd.
i would guess if thrifty method failed, they would all fail.
please clarify
Out of close to 200 successful unlock from this forum alone it was definitely a rare thing. There's many success stories along the way as all can tell.
A common question people have is "in which order do you unlock and activate". My answer is that it does not matter. I personally unlock my devices on first boot on the "Hi there" screen before setup and any network connection is made.
How do you unlock from the Hi there screen before setup and any network connection?
Insert any incompatible SIM card and you will receive a pop up menu asking for 8 digit unlock code.
Yeah, it really is a steal at this price.
even better when you ask for the $60 refund if you ported your number in.
But I didn't want to lose my number or chance to get the rebate back on Captial1 shopping portal

I am not sure why using the Smart Connect app on the phone is such a problem for Frank. The big PRO is the desktop experience like Dex. We all know about screen mirror whether wireless or wired. The Motorola Edge+ 2023 has both wired and wireless Smart Connect capability and has more versatility with monitors, televisions, Firestick/Chromecast and PC. Most phones are getting boring with features. Marginal improvements yearly with better processor, better screen and better camera. Not really noticeable. Innovation is lacking but Motorola has an interesting Smart Connect to me. Will a Motorola Edge+ 2023 replace my desktop? No but I can find it useful or enjoyable. I don't think it is a useless gimmick.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z-W...VjdA%3D%3D
What's sad is that apparently it's not available wired on any of their 2025 models, according to their own website. Smart Connect Compatibility Chart| Motorola Support US https://share.google/kN9y1PtE9MKQd6X
Posts with people complaining about it on newer phones:
Why does edge 60 series had ready for(wired usb c display feature) removed https://www.reddit.com/r/motorola...are_
Not sure why Frank keeps insisting this phone can't do Display Out without the smart connect app, when I've already proven that it will. It's not some special feature, literally any phone with USB 3.1 and 1.4 display out can do this.
It sure is a shame that they took away the wired connection with the later models especially for people who want to game as lag is possible with wireless. Gaming with lag is pretty much unusable to me. Cost cutting move. I don't game much on phones but with a direct wired connection to a large television, I could be more interested. I play more simple games and not the heavy demanding graphic games.

They offer a 30 days money back guarantee on service, if you ported in your number. Call tell them you are unsatisfied and would like to be refunded. They will give you the opportunity to save the number by porting out, as long as its still within your 30 days of original service.

My next question is "would I have to return the phone"?
i will port out the number from boost to metro.
once that happens , your boost account will be cancelled/closed.
effectively ending your obligation with boost.
while this is quite common here on slick deals,
do your homework. read up if un sure.
assumptions:
--you do not care for the number, as you will lose it.
--make sure u have satisfied the requirements for boost.
that is:
activated the boost number on your moto phone.
made a call or 2 (not needed but out of completeness to active on boost network)
sent a text or 2 (not needed but out of completeness to active on boost network)
unlocked the phone (not needed but this is whole point of getting the phone)
from boost u will need:
--the account number
--port out pin
--maybe your zip code
--the telephone number of course
u need to send that information to me via pm
What's a source that I can port-in to Boost for this deal, call in for the 30 day refund reducing the price for this deal by $60, then port the number out to do the Metro deal?
I know it's a lot of steps but I'll do it.
