The 4-pack is also available for $61.70 with 10% back if you have any of the 3 Amazon credit cards.
I personally bought a single black one that had the 30% Amazon resale discount $13.13 + tax earlier to replace one of my gen1 UWB SmartTags I wanna get rid of.

Bought these during the last time they were on sale. Require you to download Samsung SmartThings and do NOT include a keyring, those are actually covers for the tag.

How do these work outdoors? Like in a shopping mall or airport?

Work fine, but that greatly depends on the density of people walking around with Samsung phones. Sometimes when a car with a Samsung phone drives nearby the location signal goes with the car and the app then displays some weird location.

Personally I'd stay away from anything proprietary now as Google's "Find Hub" has gotten infinitely better over the last six months and is supported by all Android phones including Samsung. With over 3 billion active Android devices the coverage is massive.

That said, "Find Hub" still lacks a major feature which alerts you when you've left something behind, which Apple and I believe Samsung both support.

But for tracking I've actually found Googles "Find Hub" to work just as well as Apple if not better, especially since Android represents around 72% of the global market share.

I agree with this. There is no need to go with Samsung and hope that someone with a Samsung phone goes by your device. A Google tracker or an air tag (if you have an iPhone) would be much better. If you travel internationally you are probably better off with the Google tracker since more people use it but in the US it is closer to 50/50 with a slight edge to apple.

What tracker are you using with the Google Find Hub?

I'm still doing my research on those. I have been using air tags for a couple of years with my other phone but want to get Google ones so I can track my stuff with my main phone. I'm seeing some cheap ones on Amazon ($26 for a pack of 4) but don't know if they have any issues or not.

Description by Amazon says battery not included. Did they pry it out? Everywhere else I look it comes with a battery.

Even as an android user, this is misleading and very country dependent

> especially since Android represents around 72% of the global market share.

In the US:
  • iOS holds about 57–59 % of the U.S. smartphone market
  • Android sits around 41–43 %

It comes with a battery. It has a little plastic piece that you remove to activate the tag. I put it back in when not traveling to extend the life of the battery (typically 2 yrs). It is extremely useful. I travel a lot and can track my luggage (tells you where it is, if it is on the plane, made it to the destination, etc.). For safety, I put one in both kids backpacks when school is in session. I know some people put it in their vehicles; not sure if it is that good? Some people put it on their pet's collar. Your imagination is endless with options. Think outside the box.
