Darn, sounds like typical Samsung support. It's what's made me hesitant to buy their monitors.
The special screen treatment/coating works very well. My office gets fairly bright during the day from Windows perpendicular to the monitor and it's been handling reflections like a champ. With no discernable graininess that plagues similar matte displays.
The one minor annoyance is the monitor has no 3.5mm aux output. It has HDMI Arc output via one of the two HDMI ports but I'm not about to use up an entire HDMI port just for sound.
Thankfully the monitor supports audio out via USB DAC so you can simply pickup a USB-to-3.5mm adapter cable or even a USB-to-optical and you're good to go.

No KVM / type c charging - I initially thought that this would not be a big deal but I use this monitor with my PC and my office laptop(sometimes) switching is a big pain.
tv functions - extremely annoying, I really wish they provided an option to turn off the tv mode from it.
remote- helps but I never needed a remote on my previous setups either, my most recent setup was a dual-4K 27 inch screens with both connected yo my PC and to a doch that I would connect to my laptop, switching was quick, both monitors detected the signals, and I would only need to swap the logitech dongle from one device to another.
Overall, this is not a great option for connecting a laptop per se, I would have probably gone with the HP omen qd oled
Unrelated, does anyone also have experience with Alienware aw3225qf? I bought samsung at 710 and alienware at 815, and now need to decide which one to keep. I think returning Samsung would also cost 5% restocking fees.
