6 months felt like a long time to wait when I grabbed my Metro Galaxy S21FE so I'd definitely never do a year.

Total has this phone for $49.99 and has the 60 day unlock. They also have the 2024 model for free with port in and some review sites say the 2024 is preferred over the 2025. If you don't want to pay the $60 for the second month, get with chat and ask them to apply their $10. month talk and text plan. This Metro deal makes no sense to me since a 1 year wait. Cricket also has this 2025 Stylus at $19.99 with port in and a 6 month unlock. Drop down to their $30 plan to save. Motorola direct has the 2024 Stylus for $249. fully unlocked and they do take trade in's.

I received my phone today, and the phone works with my Tmobile sim card.

got mine and didn't bother with the T-Mobile sim. got my bootloader unlock code, just waiting for the OEM toggle to enable. nice phone for what we paid. now only if the Samsung tablet goes free again
I was going to unlock the bootloader but what are the reasons for doing that? I see that the warranty will no longer apply if I do it.

Would I be able to unlock the bootloader after I unlock the network on the phone next year and not paying for service? Is it worth unlocking if I sell the phone next year?
main reason to unlock bootloader is to gain root access on the phone, same idea behind 'jailbreak' on iPhones. It also allows you to flash custom operating systems or flash over to the retail version of the device firmware in most cases. You forfeit your warranty and lose your play store integrity which effects banking apps and couple others, though there are workarounds.

Would the Free Samsung A9+ Tablet with new $20 tablet line auto unlock after 1 year with 1 month payment?

Good to see Amazon drop the price to $299 for the unlocked version and has payments available for $60 per month. Now I don't have to wait a year if I want to switch carriers.

Currently there is no free Samsung A9+ tablet, the promo price fluctuates, it is now priced at $49 + 1 month $20 tablet line.

40mm Galaxy Watch 7 LTE - Cream color is now on promo for $99 + $10 add a watch line for those interested.

It seems to depend on the specific one you have. Here's what you do:

1. As soon as you take it out, DO NOT insert the Metro SIM, instead, insert your T-Mobile SIM
2. Start the phone
3. It either starts working or it throws an error
4. If it starts working, you can put the Metro SIM in the drawer and it will autoactivate after I think 14 or 20 days
5. I think you can use the Metro SIM in another phone to use the service
6. The phone will unlock in a year during which you can only use it on T-Mobile

The moment you insert the Metro SIM into the phone, it will lock it

You got the steps to the T.

Everyone should follow the above steps to make it work on T-Mobile.

Can't use Metro sim in another phone its locked to IMEI of phone ordered. Requires Metro App/Website to change devices and have login with phone number text which won't be able to do. If call customer service to change device IMEI they charge a fee

I'm curious as well.

Also, Jaggsta, are you asking because it doesn't work with a t-mobile postpaid sim? or you're suprised because it almost always does?
