I have the Ryobi PCL265 18V ONE+ Cordless 1/2 in. Impact Wrench [homedepot.com] version with 375 ft./lbs. of fastening torque

Do you think it's worth upgrading to this version?

Main use automotive repair applications - removing super stubborn bolts and such.

Does anyone have both and can provide an opinion?

it is not a drill/driver, it is an impact wrench. if it is your first one, I would say it is rather heavy. it will take off any bolt on a regular car that you can get to, and quite a bit of stuff on trucks. I had a few Isuzu NPR trucks with 41mm lug nuts and this took them off without issue. Trailer lugs can be a pita, but this version makes light work of them. All of that being said, I feel this would be too big and heavy if it your first impact wrench. I would say if you aren't doing anything that requires over 100ft lbs, just get a good brushless impact driver and use a 1/4" adapter from hex to square (super common thing) and it will take off 99% of the bolts on cars. Including the lugs.

More like 650 ft/lb with that battery according to torque test channel's testing, still pretty good. It's probably not breaking away any rusty semi lugs like the marketing wank would have you believe =) But for the normal person working on non heavy-duty equipment it's probably more than enough to loosen anything you can fit it on.
