I bought this last time it was on super sale. It works fine but definitely not great.

Feels overpriced at $33

Yeah, I got it for about that 10 years ago. It was maybe $30 retail back then. Inflation shouldn't apply to 15yo tech, it was old tech when I bought it.
For $30 it's a no go. For $15 maybe.
  • Nimh is ok for this device. However stated 60min runtime is BS even when it was new and it has since degraded. Maybe 30min runtime now. Nimh fade kicks in at about 3/4 through battery life. So the last 7 mins or so it can start pulling hair.
  • Custom charger port is crap. Companies who do this should be beaten for it.
  • Fit and finish is like middle of the road. Crappy compared to most of their corded models but better than the total budget Chinese stuff on Amazon.
  • It does the job, I'm ok with the negatives over the similar corded model I have and still reach for it first.
If I had $15 - $30 to spend on a razor now I'd rather take my chances on a LiOn battery based model with USB charge port. Even if that means trying non-brand name.

Agree that this is a ripoff at $30

I recently threw away one of these, broke after second use. Previous one lasted about 2 years.
I have a 10+ year old corded wahl model that's indestructable. I like to cut my hair in the backyard so there's less cleanup, that's why i bought the cordless models. I realized I can just spend the money on an extension cord and keep it with the clippers.

I have had 3 of these, mostly purchased on sale and (if memory serves) around $20. Last one broke months ago and I was waiting for a sale on SD to get a new one, then learned that Kohls generally has several brands, some of which use the same standard for clipper guards. So for around $20 and a little research to make sure I grabbed a brand that was compatible, I have a new clipper and am using the wahl colored guards on it

I searched, but am not having success finding the cordless clippers on Kohls.com that are compatible with the Wahl clipper guards. May I ask what brand you went with?

This model isn't made in the USA. The corded model of Wahl Color is and its indestructible. I had it for about 10 years. Clean and oil it regularly and it will serve you well. Got this one as a backup recently. It's also corded and made in the USA. https://slickdeals.net/f/18513094-19-piece-wahl-usa-detail-trim-clip-n-trim-2-in-1-corded-hair-clipper-kit-red-24-99-free-shipping-w-prime-or-on-35
