I own the 1000mi and have tried on Iron Rangers. My impression is that the Wolverines are instantly more comfortable with less break in, and a more supple leather. IRs are tougher and I would assume more durable, but break in can be hell (per my convo with a friend who owns a pair). He said they're really comfy now though.

One can find red wing iron ranger for that price. Having experience with both I think ranger is a better boot.

For those unaware of the YouTube Channel 'Rose Anvil'; they do a great job of buying boots, cutting them in half and walking through if it is quality construction or overpriced hype.

They did a video focused on this boot:

Here's the comparison between this and the Red Wing Iron Ranger.

If you're already buying imported boots you may as well get your money worth. Newish brand "Urban Wolf Club" has a boot called the "Colt" and it's only $170, shipped free with better materials (beware the 3 month lead time). If you want to get the boots sooner check out Thursday's selection, for ~$200 you get a comparable or better boot that the 1000m wolverine. Lastly if you want to spend the money Red Wing Iron Rangers are better but you pay for the heritage and made in America tag at $350.

Thoughts on the Jim Green Numzaan? (Walnut/Lug sole)

These Wolverines are not work boots, they are an over priced fashion statement. Retail price of $373 for an imported boot is a joke. I believe Red Wing offers both imported and US made boots. Having used real work boots "steel toes" for decades, I will stick with the US made Red Wings.
These are made in America too. They are not imported.

Strange - a number of online retailers list this boot as imported.

Just ordered these 719's on sale from Jim Green.

719 - Frog Grip Sole - Rust Veg Tan - Jim Green https://share.google/fIp6nNiF25Frp5C9T

Everything I read about these boots is positive and seems higher quality than the deal posted.

With CB these are under $200, those are 330-350 plus tax.

Urban Wolf and Thursday are made in Mexico, specifically Leon where a lot of boot makers have their stuff made white label.

https://urbanwolfclub.com/product-category/colt/
Pros: Higher quality, cheaper AND allow customization of any boot at no extra cost. con is 3 month wait since made to order.

https://thursdayboots.com/collections/boots [Not Monetized]
Cheaper or similarly priced with about the same if not slightly better materials.

Most expensive and highest quality (only by a little) you're paying for the made in America tag. Red Wing is a vertically integrated operation that has a long history manufacturing in the US. I own a pair but if/when I buy another I'll be looking for factory seconds see here: https://berkeleysupply.com/collec...ry-seconds

LOVE the numzaan, I'm saving up for a custom pair. I have a pair of Razorbacks that I wear for dirty work and they're doing great. My brother destroys boots and buys tons of their barefoot selection for work boots. He's been getting them repaired at the local cobbler, definitely worth it.
