I was able to get a Red Pocket e-SIM number for $7.78 and successfully ported it in to Metro. Plus Metro total of $165.24. All in with eSIM port-in and Metro is $173.02. Now we wait for it to unlock lol

Phone unlocking in one year is a deal-breaker.

totally depends on the shady rep

I'm on the boost site and one offer shows:
$550 OFF the iPhone 16e Only $49.99 $599.99
When you switch and keep your number only. ID verification required. With two months prepaid service

$120 for 2 months and $50 for 16e =170

$170...but then they add other fees such as activation fee, tax on value of phone etc...

Very slick deal, somehow it let me acquire 12 units using my various addresses and the system processed it. Multi line discount sweetend the deal (after receiving, I added new line to account). Received in good order at cost of around $1710, traded in to Apple for $3720. Converted Apple GC to cash at approximately a 15% discount, netting $3162 - $1710 =$1,452.00 profit.

I was able to then use the metro lines to port to CRICKET for the iPhone 16e for additional 5 units, netting $1550*.85 =$1,317.50- $600 =$717.50 profit.
I was able to sell the empty boxes and included accessories (USB cable) on eBay for a small amount of money as well.

Last year when I churned this deal with Metro, it was more strict about address limits. I think they are now desperate for new customers.

That being said, Boost Mobile has always been easier as it doesn't require port in for promo pricing. My last order with Boost mobile a few months ago for a half dozen units went through and they sent very next day. However, the cost is worse as iPhone 16e is currently going for $210, so profit is only 47% in Apple GC terms, and less if converting to cash.
I do find it interesting where all of this money is coming from! The Phone companies sure must be desperate for customers. How would they make money?

Metro's Return Policy: https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/s...turnPolicyAnd yes, you need to keep the phone on WiFi or 'In the drawer' for 1 year to get it unlocked. basically you dont need to keep using it on a plan after the first month and it would still unlock
So cancel the plan online before 30 days hits? Or just turn off auto payments?? I plan to use it wifi only for an year, no need number.

There is nothing to cancel since this is prepaid. Just don't setup/opt for autopay and you should be good

Thanks for quick reply. I paid 1st month $55 during phone checkout, now in dashboard, shows another $55 due end of this month. Auto pay disabled, what happens to that due then? Disregard??

Yes that should be fine. It will show the amount due and infact will also send you text and email alerts for renewing the service but you can disregard those
