I bought this once and immediately returned it due to poor viewing angles and the fact that it's really more of a TV than a monitor in terms of turning on and off, handling inputs, etc. I have a 3 ft deep desk, pushed it back until the stand was hanging off the edge, and still had a lot of issues with uniformity. I'd recommend at least a 4 ft viewing distance, which makes this a pretty bad monitor unless you have a very unconventional setup.
Wish this was IPS, VA panel is going to be rough with the viewing angle washout. If your close enough, Looking at the center the edges left and right will be washed out since VA has such a narrow viewing angle.
This 43 inch Neo G7 is a big, bright 4K Mini LED screen that works well as a monitor for desk productivity, casual gaming, and media use. The price looks especially strong if the EPP coupon appears, dropping it closer to the low 300s. It also avoids burn in worries and has a matte screen that cuts reflections, with some setups benefiting from 120Hz instead of 144Hz to reduce ghosting. The main cautions are its VA viewing angles, occasional uniformity and wake up quirks, and the fact that 43 inches at 4K can feel fuzzy or too large at normal desk distance. A strong value if the size and panel tradeoffs fit your setup.
office users who want large-screen real estate and also do casual gaming on the side, because commenters said it's a great price for "large screen real estate for Office productivity" while still being able to game casually.
people using it as a dual-purpose TV/monitor in a kids room, because one commenter said it's "closer to a smart tv than a monitor" and recommended it specifically for that setup.
PC gamers who sit far enough back and want a big, bright, sharp 4K screen at a discounted price, because a commenter said it "works very well as a PC monitor" and that at $350-$400 they "never seen a better option."
buyers who plan to mount it with VESA and are okay using a VESA adapter if needed, because one commenter said it's been working great but "you'll need a VESA adapter" due to wider mounting holes.
people who sit close to the screen for desk work, because commenters warned the VA panel can cause "viewing angle washout" with the edges left/right looking washed out if you're close enough.
buyers who need consistent uniformity and strong viewing angles from a typical desk setup, because one commenter returned it after "poor viewing angles" and "a lot of issues with uniformity," even with a deep desk.
people who want crisp text for normal computer distances, because commenters said 43" at this resolution can feel uncomfortable at typical desk distances and that text is "a tiny bit fuzzy" due to relatively low PPI.
buyers who are sensitive to blooming behavior and compare panel types closely, because one commenter cautioned that "Panel type absolutely matters" and that IPS can have "high blooming compared to VA" even with Mini-LED.
people with a desk that can't accommodate the monitor's physical height, because a commenter said it "might be too tall for my desk" when considering the purchase.
Viewing angles and uniformity can be poor even with a deep desk setup, which can make the display feel more TV-like than monitor-like for inputs and power handling.
The VA panel can wash out the left and right edges when you sit close, and some setups need at least about a 4-foot viewing distance to avoid uniformity and angle problems. On a larger desk, the issue may be less noticeable.
It can work well as a PC monitor, but 43" at 4K has relatively low PPI for close desk use, so text may look a bit fuzzy and the size can feel uncomfortable at normal distances. It is better suited to a deep desk, TV/media use, or a dual TV/monitor setup.
Setting it to 120Hz can reduce ghosting compared with 144Hz, and some users also recommend tuning the picture settings because the stock calibration is poor. That makes 120Hz the smoother choice for motion on this model.
It can sometimes fail to wake properly, but power-cycling it with the remote usually clears it. That makes it usable, though not as seamless as a typical monitor.
If this deal was available when I purchased a Best Buy, 48" LG B5 for $550 last month - minus the $30 price match for Black Friday, I would have purchased this Samsung instead!
If you surf the EPP site for a few minutes, a $50/10% off one item coupon should pop up making this $350 deal even better at $315!
This is a great price for anyone that needs large screen real estate for Office productivity that just so happens to casual game on the side as well. 👍

That's vastly overstating how bad VA panels are

It needs a VESA adapter because the mounting holes are wider than standard. With the adapter, it can be mounted normally.
