This was $100 cheaper back in November, so it may go cheaper. Plus those Superbowl deals the week of are always pretty solid if not better than BF.

Probably been asked before, but I'm torn between the QM8K and the QN90F for a very bright room (sun streaks through transom windows everyday). I have an order with Samsung EPP for an 85" QN90F, but it won't be delivered until 2/21. So I get to second guess myself for a month.
It seems like the QM8K overcomes glare with shear brightness whereas the QN90F has a matte surface that eliminates glare at the expense some color and contrast. For those who may have a QM8K in a bright room, do you notice the glossy finish at all? Thanks!

Think it will go lower closer to the Superb Owl? Amazon doesn't credit if it goes lower even a day later.

Everyone's criteria is different, but Samsung TVs are no-go for me because they refuse to support DolbyVision, but I recognize that's not important to a lot of people.

Samsung QN90F vs TCL QM8K: Which TV Is Better? - RTINGS.com https://share.google/A3HFdlNXtGsF7P2gM
Thanks - I've seen their comparison - RTNGs seems to be relying on the individual scores for the various categories of testing and the TCL does appear to be better in many categories and why they say the QM8K is superior. Samsung seems to be sacrificing some image "pop" for the anti-glare finish.
So I was wondering for those who have the TCL glossy screen in a bright room, do they even notice reflections during the day. TCL probably wins in a dark room for everything RTNGs mentions in its review.

So I went through this exact situation. Also cross shopped Bravia 9, S95F, LG G5 and a few others I quickly eliminated off my list (Hisense, QN80F, etc).

Ultimately went with the QN90F after an excessive amount of research and viewing them at Best Buy. OLED burn-in still has me a bit irrational at this point, so I eliminated the S95F and G5. The TCL looked solid, but the matte screen sold me on the QN90F.

People who hate on the matte screen are just curmudgeons or obnoxious purists who have the luxury of a pitch black basement set up. Watching TV you don't even notice it at all. And watching during the day is awesome to not have to worry about reflections. Night time watching is also great.

Lack of Dolby Vision support is annoying, but HD10 is good enough for me. I will say I absolutely HATE with all my being the Samsung UI and how it constantly prompts you to make an account. You can't even us various streaming apps from it without first having a Samsung account. Maybe this is just the norm in 2026 for TVs, but coming from my 10yr old TV is annoying AF. Ultimately it's not a deal breaker b/c we use Apple TV, but it's the principle.

Only had it a month, but so far so good.

a $30-404K streaming box is your friend for getting away from the TV prompts

I am curious...what was the price difference at the time you bought between the Samsung and the TCL?
