I swear these go on sale every year ever since June 2021 which was when I bought my first pair for $98.88. It seems like the promotional sales price keeps steadily increasing. The second pair I bought was in March 2023 which I paid $79.95 for it at the time.

I read that the bass is stronger on the HD599 but that it also sounds more muffled by comparison to the SHP9500. I haven't been able to compare them though.

I have these and they sound amazing and are super comfortable. You can wear them for multiple hours and they still feel comfy. I recently bought another pair for my son and he loves them for gaming. They actually get more comfortable the more you wear them. My first pair is over 5 years old and going strong.

It's the same with Bose and JBL. Between my wife and daughters they have these brands. I just ordered replacement headbands. They work perfectly fine so there's no need to buy a replacement pair.

Not sure why this is downvoted. I have both. There is a difference in sound but it really depends on what you listen to. The Senn does have a touch more bass, but the clarity in the SHP9500 is amazing. Both are very comfortable to wear. I love both headphones. I now wear the Senns all day for work, and the Philips for gaming.

I don't have the SHP9500, I've got the SHP9600. They're insanely comfortable.
