Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

I used visible last month to port to cricket for the 16E.
Hey Sienna,
Would you mind explaining how this works? I'm not well informed on how to get these good phone deals. My family is on Cricket, and my mom needs a new phone and would like the 16E which is cheap for new customers. If there's a cheap workaround for her to get it at the new customer price, she'd be pleased to hear about it. In reading about it, I thought it might be hard to do something like what you did since the 16E has an esim and she can't just swap her current (physical) sim into the 16E. Thanks

Why is it when I go to https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/order-status to Activate the line that shows shipped, but the button is grayed out. On my previous 2 lines it worked fine and Activate button was able to be clicked once it was shipped. With this issue I am unable to order any more lines now. Anyone had this issue and got it fixed somehow?

Just call and do the order with a sales rep. it'll go through
I did try with a sales rep with 2 cc's. They said it was something fraud related, not sure. Said to wait 24 hours and try again.

what causes you to be blacklisted from ordering here? Using Same address as before? Same credit card?

Online and customer service won't take my payment. CS said to go into the store and someone should be able to pull up my order so I can pay. Is this a trap?

I am not sure about that. I had my son (living another state) to order so everything (name, billing, shipping, IP, browser, OS, etc) except one thing: port in number, so may you need to change that one as well?

I've been getting these metro deals for several years. Only 1 phone at a time. Using a Google voice number, I got rejected, told me to go to the store. interestingly the number got blacklisted from further attempts. I got a new GV number with same email and that number got rejected and blacklisted. I tried different gmail address and GV number, but interestingly they rejected/ blacklisted the number as well. Eventually got the deal for a relative with a completely different address, email, GV number and credit card. I guess they're catching on, just be aware.

When an order with a port-in number fails to go through, Metro will release the number (to try again) overnight, or you can call Metro and ask the rep to free up the number right away.
If your order fails because you're blacklisted, try again from a different device/computer/location because they keep track of the IP address too.

I had my recent port go through. Received the phone and it's activated. Getting text and able to make calls.

The only issue I am having is my Google voice app is still getting voicemails? Do I have to remove the number from the Google voice app now that the port is done?

Your GV port-in is only half-done. It will be fully done when Google sends you an email saying your GV number was ported out. In the meantime, do NOT delete your GV number.

I'm glad I asked. I was about to delete it. Thanks.

And if you don't see the e-mail within 24-48 hours, I would just call in to the port department. Past that time I don't think it's going to finish on it's own, GV often requires a manual push through for it to actually port.
