Best in class at $500, great deal - the price people are waiting for to buy this saw/stand combo.

Just make sure you are prepared to check the fence right away for a common issue with damage/packaging on the fence corner, as it seems the only solution will be to repack/exchange to fix it if you are unlucky and get one damaged out of the box.

I'm looking to get one today. I have been holding off until a great sale. Any chance you have a link to what to look out for if it needs to be checked in great detail or is it just some of them are damaged out of the box and the damage is apparent?

Been watching this rig for awhile. Buy this if you're even thinking about it! It won't get cheaper! I bought one.

I tried to no avail to find you a link I saw when researching this the last couple weeks. The couple things I read about where an obvious dent on the blade facing side, toward the back, the fence being out of square beyond what is adjustable, and then a few reports of the flip over part of the fence not sitting flat on the table. The last one people commented Dewalt sent them a new fence. I pulled the trigger today and will pick up tonight. Definitely don't expect to see this price again for a long time.

Thank you, I ordered mine as well. I will look it over carefully when I pick it up. I don't like that they don't let you buy it at the register. I got the miter saw two days ago, since I picked out the unit I wanted they had a mix of older and new boxes. I battle them and ordered it online and then waited while they pulled up my order and put a label on the one I selected.

What upgrades do people recommend for this saw. I will get a dado stack set and new plate for the dado. But is there anything else people deem a must upgrade vs nice to have

Thank you
The stock blade does pretty well for rip cuts and is easy on the motor since it's a thin kerf blade. For cross cuts and ply especially, definitely upgrade to a higher tooth count blade. This saw can handle a full kerf blade well enough, and it's worth it to splurge on a good blade. More carbide means longer lasting and sharpening ability.

For the fence, the linked upgrade will for sure be helpful, but doesn't necessarily address one of the bigger limitations. A longer fence would be helpful. That being said, so would a big cast iron table. Jobsite saws are all about compromises.

I went with this one knowing that it wouldn't be able to do everything I want as easily as I would like it too, but also with the knowledge that it's a great saw to keep as a portable workhorse even if you ever upgrade to a full cabinet saw. I don't regret the purchase at all. Very surprised it's down to this price again.

Edit: I purchased and returned two bow products extended fences. They will not come perfectly straight. They can certainly be useful, but seem to always have a "bow" in the face if not a twist along the length. It was totally annoying for me to keep. You could do just as well if not better with other aluminum extrusion type fences or something with a maxhined surface. My 2c.

I know this is a better saw than the Skil, but I'm still tempted by the Skil...
Even at full price it is cheaper and I like the integrated folding stand which takes up a lot more space than the Dewalt on a rolling stand.

I don't really want to own a table saw but I have some need for it (and no community shop or maker space type options) so something that folds up small and stores out of hte way is ideal...and while I do want accuracy, since it won't see heavy use, it doesn't have to be able to STAY accurate after a ton of jobsite abuse (e.g. the plastic rack and pinion gears don't bother me).

Got the Rigid contractor table saw (ie Delta T2) for ~$150 less a couple years ago on clearance.

Seems like a good price, but not as good as it gets.

I have one and love it.

I'd also recommend a soft start. I'm using one available on amazon called "Hitachi 371468 Soft Start C10Rj Part"

Sigh, I'm "that guy" who bought it at Lowe's 4 week ago for 699. I haven't even used it yet but I assembled it.
