When you order the phone, you have to sign up for a monthly plan. $75/mo was the cheapest I could find, and they mention a $40 activation fee. I was pretty nervous about this, especially b/c one of the terms you accept when making the purchase says something about returning the phone. However, it went off without a hitch. I spoke to a rep at Verizon who was very nice. the entire call including time in menus was less than 10 minutes. My bill was waived b/c of their satisfaction guarantee or something, so she said I have a 'billing period' but nothing will be due. Awesome!
edit - oh and the phone seems pretty cool! I'm not super picky or a power user, but it seems like a nice upgrade from my Moto G 2022.
