Community Reviews
Hisense's 100 inch U8K is a bright room focused 4K QLED set with strong black levels and brightness for the 65 inch version, though the 98 inch and 100 inch sizes may behave differently. The 2023 model is described as around 1500 nits with 144 hertz refresh, and the Google TV interface can feel slow enough that basic mode or an external streaming device is preferred. Free installation was advertised and later waived in some cases, with 0 percent financing and a Google smart thermostat promo attached. The main hesitation is value, since the jump over cheaper alternatives is seen as modest for the price.
Common Questions (5)
The U8K is described as highly rated for bright rooms, with the 2023 model cited at about 1500 nits and 144Hz. It is also a heavy set at 150+ lbs, so installation and handling matter.
The 2025 U8 is expected to bring around 5000 nits and 165Hz, while the 2023 U8K is cited at about 1500 nits and 144Hz. If you want the newer spec jump, waiting may make sense; if you want the current clearance price, the U8K is the cheaper buy.
The listing says free installation is included, but the checkout may not deduct it automatically. Best Buy service can waive the installation charge after contacting them.
For the 65-inch size, the U8K is described as having better black levels and brightness than the QM7K. The 98-inch and 100-inch versions can perform differently, so that comparison may not carry over exactly to the 100-inch model.
Yes. Google TV Basic Mode can turn the TV into a simpler, faster-booting setup without internet-dependent smart features, and an external smart device can be used instead of the built-in interface.

I have a 65" U8H model from 2022 and a buddy has a 65"U8N from 2024
In real world viewing they are surprisingly close in picture quality
Wait for 2025 U8 to go down in price, 5000 nits 165 refresh <150lbs don't need $100+ wall mount.
