I use these as my daily driver.
$10/ah is decent but lately i've seen HP at $10/ah as well. That said, i have never noticed a difference ir wished i had 'better' batteries

For Veterans, go thru the Exchange site - https://www.homedepot.com/c/military-exchange and search on 316767033 - there is a 10% discount and no sales tax. Getting mine delivered tomorrow for $71.10 total.

This is what I got from Gemini.
"Why the HP Battery Often Lasts Longer
Even if the Amp-hour (Ah) rating is identical, the Ryobi HP Battery has a few technical advantages that extend its "real world" run time:
Better Heat Management: Heat is the enemy of battery life. HP batteries use more advanced cells (often 21700 cells) and better internal framing. Because they stay cooler, they don't lose as much energy to heat and are less likely to trigger a "thermal shutdown" before the battery is actually empty.
Less Voltage Sag: Under a heavy load (like cutting through thick wood), a Standard Battery might experience a drop in power, making the tool work harder and less efficiently. The HP battery maintains a more consistent voltage, allowing the tool to finish the job faster and with less strain.
Advanced Electronics: In HP-branded tools, the extra communication terminals allow the tool to draw power more intelligently, optimizing the battery's energy for the specific task at hand."

No, it doesn't. The Gemini answer is useless, so ignore that. These are perfectly fine for lower-draw devices. HP is preferred, but for what you're looking for, these are fine. Only thing is that they're a bit less of a deal since they're not HP

For low draw applications, no it will not make a difference. I have all three battery types and i just had what's available to run my fans and all give about the same runtime.
However this is not a great deal. You can get HP or Edge sometimes for this price per amp and i would rather spend my money on those as they are better price per amp per technology.

I got generic one from Amazon that had good reviews but it won't power the smallest chainsaw at all. I was able to use it for power drill and cutting tool I have. Better to stay with oem brand if your tool requires high power output.
