Price wise this is a good deal. But Frigidaire has an abysmal performance record, and customer service is largely nonexistent. Google it.

Have this for about a year now and have been happy with it. Have been using it indoors (not garage) next to our fridge. We've had no issues the freezer itself; however, it is packaged poorly around the corners. We finally accepted it upon our fourth delivery which still has a dent on top. The other deliveries had major damage such as exposed insulation, crumpled corners, etc. We did account for multiple failed deliveries per the reviews. We average -3.6F and 70% relative humidity.

I bought this for $200 back in 2023. Works great for a few years and then it frosts up like a mf. I have to chip away ice all the time. It's annoying

Oooh, that definitely makes this a no buy for me. I wasn't sure from the description since the only part I found seemed like it was AI generated, but it was mentioned in reviews too. I understand why after looking at it (elements in the shelving) but I would want to totally empty it for cleaning, not to mention fitting things. Thanks for bringing it up.

A freezer in the garage isn't something you want to cheap out on either. a $200 unit could easily spoil hundreds of dollars in food.

We have this model and like it. Great storage capacity. Frost is annoying, but with a little regular maintenance, not much of an issue. First one came horribly dented, was returned. Ours is inside next to our refrigerator.
