No need to wager anything about an entire lineup with multiple models and specs; better to talk about the laptop and specs concerned at present which would actually be helpful to others.

I tried some older games on snapdragon x-26-100 and it wasn't pretty. Maybe your research skills are better than mine, but I had to hit reddit and other forums several times, just trying to get fallout new vegas, to run and still ended up with graphical glitches and performance issues that I never got around to remedying. Some of the performance falls on the shoulder's of the 26-100, but I'd still be wary of snapdragon if you game a lot. There are sites that list compatibility and you can see if what you want to run is supported. windowsonarm.org might be a good place to start.
Considering if it's worth it ... a new X2 model from Lenovo website is currently $900 for similar specs (actually it's 1TB SSD). So $340 more a significantly better ARM cpu, new condition, and twice HD capacity.
So I don't know, I think I'd rather wait for a deal on the X2.
Like anything else on slickdeals, knowing what you want to do and matching it with the device specs is the key. ARM windows PC's are new, so it's important to flag that on every ARM laptop deal, but it being ARM isn't a blanket don't buy. Most people are probably fine with it, and actually benefit more from the low power consumption and battery life.
Sure, the number of Windows users on ARM is a minority. But also the majority of people won't run into issues with this because all they're doing is Netflix and web browsing, not playing games.
Like anything else on slickdeals, knowing what you want to do and matching it with the device specs is the key. ARM windows PC's are new, so it's important to flag that on every ARM laptop deal, but it being ARM isn't a blanket don't buy. Most people are probably fine with it, and actually benefit more from the low power consumption and battery life.
Instead of bashing a new technology, your time as a public service announcer would be better spent going through all the laptop threads and complaining how they're too damn expensive.

It is not possible for me to run what I need to run on an arm based Windows laptop nor can I reasonably substitute Apple, Linux or Chrome. It is possible for me to run every single program I need to on x86 with no issues, research or troubleshooting.
Lots of those x86 laptops have a battery that last longer than I will ever use it in a day and are very powerful.
It is what it is, arm+Windows beta testing and for some cheerleading. Cool, I appreciate it, seriously. It is true the market has to grow before compatibility is fully available in order to give reason for and fund making things compatible.
