Slowtech, the Lipton plastic teas did work, so did the regular Sobes at Shoprite.

Also don't forget the Wags threads got a little tense for a while and one did get locked down. Not sure what's going on with everyone.........seasonal mood disorder???

Alright back to my lurking mode!

Wow ST, your family does put you through a lot. I would completely stop helping. They are taking advantage of you and are good at making you feel guilty for not allowing them to do so.
I agree with setsail ST! You are jumping through all kinds of hoops and ladders, enough to need some valium or something Wink

afternoon y'all. sometimes the morning gets away from me.

thanks everyone. yeah, i am not naive about my relatives but it's still hurtful. here's a little more icing on the cake. when we were planning when to have the family dinner, we agreed on friday so middle sil could go to her second home after dinner. she'd already told us that she'd be there for all this wk. at dinner her mom asked her why didn't she invite them, we could have all gone straight after dinner. my dh told his mom- she didn't invite us b/c she's having friends over. then it ended up they were going home and then leaving in the morning so she ended up driving the grandparents home cuz they are on her way and the total opposite of ours. she couldn't wiggle out of that one although knowing she was going home she still brought the small car and faint-heartedly tried.

we totally know that she invites friends first and if she has nobody coming then she invites us so we can drive her parents there and back. last yr one of her friends slipped while we were all there and talked about the time they all stayed over for skiing b4 she got the furniture. we never saw her house till months after when she'd had her furniture delivered. and then her friend realized he stuck his foot in his mouth but it wasn't really his fault. normal people invite their family first and friends after.

she also asked us if we would drive with her and her 2 ds' to ohio university to check out the school cuz her dh doesn't like to drive which goes back to us always driving her parents and grandparents. luckily the wknd she wants to go we were invited to a stay at friend's timeshare so we didn't have to flat out say no. my dh/her db doesn't want to just drive 9+ hrs just to go see the school and back, if she involved a little sightseeing/vacay into the plan he would be more willing. but she has a perfectly fine dh who can drive and doesn't even have a regular job, just doesn't want to. but it's his son looking at schools so dh thinks he should go and make a family vacay out of it. basically she's at it again, asking too much and i'm sure dh is just setting boundaries.

now i think i want cake too.Frown

tm4d, we'd love to see pix of dd's bday cake so we can all ooh and aah as soon as possible just to take our minds off the stuff around us.

nummy on the waffles and bacon HD! We love breakfast for dinner around here. The in-laws gave us a jar of their homemade maple syrup last week (they tap their own trees, boil it down, the whole 9 yds.) so I ordered some of this [amazon.com] off of Amazon...because it had great reviews and was 100% whole grain Big Grin...and we had ourselves a pancake dinner last Friday. It. was. amazing. Like the homemade syrup wasn't great enough already but with THOSE pancakes it was phenomenal. I don't think I'll ever "buy" Bisquick again unless it's free. I know there are others here that need nut-free stuff...those are made in a nut-free facility.

OK....dd's bday cake pics Smilie And a couple of madame goofball herself for you all to enjoy....the pony in the final pic is a "Pinterest-inspired" hobby horse that my MIL and SIL made for her - they made her two of them actually....because she's spoiled Stick Out Tongue

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome cake and awesome kid you got there.

Thanks for sharing the pics.

I got some Amazon credit and am going to order that waffle mix. That sounds good. Wow on the homemade syrup. I can't even imaging how good that must be. Eat

Which kind? We bought the Maple Grove Farms complete pancake/ waffle mix, and the buttermilk/ honey waffle mix. The kids and dh went absolutely ga-ga over the buttermilk/ honey one. Big Grin It was $2 cheaper per box on Amazon than in the local grocery store, and no nut warning!!

Not sure. Will look at that one.

When did Amazon shipping get so expensive. $8.29 to ship. I guess I had free shipping before with registering a Kindle.
