^this, he was one of my favs. Also, where was Michael and Walt.

How come Juliet and Jack didn't trigger some memory of their life on the island?
exactly, everybody else got their memory from touching hands, those two banged and it didn't trigger anything.

Quote from ploppsdman :
Are you #@43ing kidding me with this "comedy" alternative endings? God @#$3ing damn it.
That was pretty obvious, its Jimmy Kimmel.

I liked everything until Jacks dad showed up alive, and of course, leave it for the writers of LOST to cause more confusion. The whole alternate dimension thing was just doesn't make sence.

After watching the Q&A with the cast, one thing is for certain... they are just as clueless as most of the viewers. LOL. You would think that the writers would give them a run down of the ending or SOMETHING. They didn't have an answer to anything, and they played those characters for the last 6 or so years.

Now they are confusing me, cause now I don't know what to believe. laugh out loud

I was pretty happy with it truthfully.
Nothing was really answered when you really look at it but somehow I feel satisfied nod
nod if they really all did live the life in the island, did they ever explain how the island healed people (like locke and rose)? or did rose die early on the island and we just never knew because time was all farked up Dontknow

Quote from shhaggy :
Not only did they all just die, but there was no telling how or when they all died. For all we know Hurley and Ben ran the island for like 10 years before they died. It sucked IMO.
Iagree

im left with a bunch of questions when i thought they'd all be answered Annoyed. i feel like all the hours of tv watching was a waste LMAO

So will this thread be closed after tonight?
If a moderator did that, it'd be one of the dumbest moves in the history of SD threads. shake head

Anyway, I finally finished seeing 4.5 hours of "Lost" on my DVR. Man that was long! I know this thread has blown up and I'll catch up to posts eventually. I'll just say the happy ending nice and kind of expected, but there was way too much sappy orchestral music in the final 2.5 hours. And it 1 big love fest, but was good to see all the "Lost" characters reunite as couples and be "Found" together.

RIP "Lost". It was a fun and sometimes frustrating ride over the past 6 years. Now onto the burial of "24" tonight. Frown

So the whole LA X story was not a sideways alt-timeline, but a safe place off the linear timeline for those Oceanic 815 and Island folks to reconnect after they die.

Since this place where The Island never existed to them, they are free to act out their lives as if Oceanic 815 had really landed. Since LA X is off of the linear timeline, people who have died in the past are reunited with people who died years in the future and look the same as they did at or around the time of the original crash.

They think that the LA X world is their normal lives until they become aware that "oh crap I'm dead". So sideways LOST was sort of a purgatory that their souls went to after death and once they reconnected with their loves or made peace with the past, they can move on. It kind of reminded me of that Anne Hathaway movie Passengers [wikipedia.org].

I wonder if those bud guys who died in LA X like Keamy and Mikal where really there and went to hell instead of moving on, or where they just NPCs like the rest of the alt-world.

That was an AWESOME ending!

So, Hurley becomes Mr. Roarke, and Ben is Tattoo!! "Da Plane BOSS Da Plane" LOL. And they both live happily for an untold time running "Fantasy Island", before they die and meet everybody else that died during the series in the church at the end. Brilliant!!

That's very open to interpretation. Kimmel just kind of floated that and it's much simpler for him to say 'yes' than to argue with him. I think he wasn't there because you can't have him there without Walt, and Walt is way too old and different looking now.

this (for me) was the best explanation for what happened- esp since the very end was the plane crash scene. Ben could not go into the church because he still had his penance to complete for all his wrong doings. or maybe...

this was some farked up story that just went on and on by dumbass writers and there is really no meaning Messed Up

I belive it was because as Charlie said it was beautiful, it was love...You date people in your life but that doesnt make it real true pure love and the is what Sawyer and Juilet had not Jack And Juliet - so...ya know

I hate to say this, but for everyone that is let down, please, let me know what show ending you've seen that you felt justified and fulfilled in, because I loved the lost ending, and I just want to know what your idea of a good ending is.

Me, too.

I get the show being Jack's story and I can see himmnot getting all the answers - so we dont get all the answers but I still feel the island was another character of the show and it did not get it's ... moment in the church.

I still pissed about Aaron, Eko,AND why, say Boone or Shannon was so important to Jack's life and others were not.

I hope I'm not pissed forever but for right now I am - maybe even more so than I was at The Sopranos. At least I didn't break anything with this show ending.
