Pool temp was up to 58 last night. I thought it was supposed to be almost hot today and planned to get in to give the floor that good vacuum and scrub that it needs. I can vac the crap out from outside the pool. I can even sort of scrub the bottom from outside. But to get that final perfectly clean, spotless makes the water really sparkly shine, I just need to get in once. It's gloomy and windy. Goody.
I know lots of students that are in the honor society who dropped algebra a few times before they were able to pass with a good grade. The instructor can make a world of difference. Your son might want to check out Ratemyprofessor.com HERE [ratemyprofessors.com] It isn't a totally accurate site - but from what I have seen - if the instructor has LOTS of negative comments - AVOID them.
:
our brains can learn anything, if someone is willing to teach us..
I spent lots of hours on my statistics classes.
I like the communication classes - where you just write papers stating what you think. But you can't BS on a math test...lol
Now - if you put a $$$$ sign in front of a number. I can turn it inside out, upside down, and backwards. The $ sign gives the number MEANING....
But I still don't think x or y are numbers...
I like THIS [google.com]
I think the deal is over for the suave that I was looking at - I forget food lion's ads run funny. Anyway, *if* I had done it, the math looks like this:
coupon price w/shipping = .40 each
$39.33 suave price at store w/tax
-36.00 coupons
3.33 tax
4.80 coupon cost for 12 q's
8.13 "cost" on the deal
-10.00 store promotion
1.87 "net" overage - or .15 (almost .16) per coupon.
That just doesn't seem like much or worth it at that point. Am I crazy?
I read people saying they got $400 in product for only $10.....
Uhmmm.. No... they didn't count the cost of the coupons - and the fact that $300 worth of the product was something they didn't even want - but had to buy to get the overage.
So - I factor that part out...
I generally calculate it and count ONLY the overage AFTER all costs - to see if the overage is worth it.
Something else to take into consideration is RISK - how likely will you be to get to use ALL the coupons? I don't like to pay Big $$$ for coupons that give good overage IF you can find the item in stock. But you can also take into consideration how many coupons it will take to break even.
I think the first coupons I ever bought were for the Bayer Meters. I paid something like $30 for them - BUT - since they were giving $10 RRs (and the meters were FREE with the coupon) I figured as long as I found 3 meters - I broke even for what I paid for the coupons. Anything over three would be profit... so I took the risk (and it paid off). I know there were people who at that time would not pay that much for those qs.... But I decided - even with the high cost - I could still break even AND make a profit. Without the coupons... I would break even but make NO profit.
.
WIN-WIN!!!!
I was just looking at the library programs for this summer..Did you check it out yet...They have a magic show, zoo animals coming to the library, science projects etc...
Are you doing the $1 movie this summer

why does everyone feel compelled to videotape themselves nowadays when they don't even know what they are doing?

Ank, did you call the insurance company yet today?
Thank you, your awesomeness.
I must go shopping now.
Let me take a few more pics (close ups) and if you can tell me how far up to put the soil that would be great!
tomatoes are an exception b/c they will grow roots anywhere the stem touches the soil. so i would top up the tomato plants to an inch under the rim of the pot and give it a good watering.
the pepper plant i would lift out the whole entire thing, soil and all and put more soil underneath until the level of the original soil is about 1 inch under the rim of the pot and give it a good watering.
when you water, make sure you water until water comes out the bottom hole.
to see when the next time to water is, stick your finger into the soil about 1 inch. if it is dry, it is time to water. in the dead of summer, you may have to water 2x/day. at the same time, do not overwater b/c your tomatoes will crack. better to underwater tomatoes than to overwater cuz they are susceptible to lots of diseases if there is too much water.
more pain from being manipulated, but a reminder to be grateful, after seeing so many in much greater suffering. thank god i don't have to be there. :shudder:

the bold part was what i was trying to say earlier, but said very clumsily.
love that x link. hilarious.
your kindness and humor are miracles enough darling.
and ahem, as for the hiring plan.... i love you guys, but i don't think we're quite that close yet.
OAN, ank, i third or fourth or eight or whatever it is, the advice to call insurance agent and keep finagling. they fought us on paying out rental etc also but then with multiple calls and negotiation, it worked! so try and try again! persistence pays off, cos they're just counting on you going away.
I'm also a little terrified that I'll have kids so close together- 6, 3, 18 months, and potential special needs baby.
oan = on another note

Thanks ladies, I just needed to vent today. I appreciate all the congrats and prayers.

but i think i hated it more because i was *required* to take it. honors calculus was at 8 am, with a thickly accented professor who mostly whispered to the blackboard and a bunch of jocks trying to major in engineering who worked through their hangover and went huh? at the professor's mumblings. but i loved that class! and aced it. probably because i didn't need it for anything. i took it as my liberal arts math elective and so it was all mine.
what can i say? i don't like following orders. and i don't like compulsion.
