Just recently I have begun frequenting this section of Slickdeals. I am a member of other boards relating to couponing also, and I have received nothing but welcome from these other boards. From reading these threads here at Slickdeals in this section daily for the the past several weeks, I am frankly afraid to post.
There seems to be a small group of people here that act like it is a crime if you don't know which thread to post in, the proper couponing etiquette, ask a question that may have been answered somewhere else, and basically anything they don't care for.
I have found quite a few awesome deals that I want to post and share here, but rarely do because of the behavior exhibited in these threads. Just food for thought. Try to remember you were once a newbie at this, and take care when you think about jumping down someone's throat.

Hang in there because there are allot of wonderful folks in the Drugstore Forum. If you are looking to save some money, you gotta just jump on in there and learn to ignore nasty comments. The nice and helpful folks will point you in the right direction, if you are posting in the wrong thread.
2008, I agree that if you have been here that long - by now you should have read all the FAQ's in the Coupon Threads and other Threads that would have been helpful to you. By responding to other people's posts - you develop a repoir with people - and with that - you gain tutelage if you need it by said person(s).
You just can't complain without action on your own, imho. Please give it another try, you only learn by trying, otherwise, you will remain in the darkness here - and as a newbie
op, we do not tolerate any users bashing/attacking on someone new to the b&m couponing community. this has been a problem in the past and we're aware of it. there used to be a rule stickied at the top of the ds forum that talks about how newbies are being treated when they venture into that forum. since the recent overhaul of that forum, it must have been inadvertently removed/left out.
in the meantime, please mod alert such posts that contain snarky-ness or attitude towards someone who is trying to help and/or contribute.

Now OP .......... Who the hell cares.......... this isnt real life.......... and really if you want to get into the DS deals........... you Definitely need to get used to being treated like shit everyday....... not from the forum but from Real Life Employees..........
Now if "everyone" got treated so horribly in the DS forum........... NO ONE would post there.... sigh ~~~ this is silly

Blanket statements are never helpful .... if the OP would have said Hey BMR why are you always so damn mean to me? ... then this would have been a valid complaint... still boring and useless but valid... also a completely accurate statement if they were the kind of person who always comes in clogging up the threads without reading wikis or ad scans because they just want someone to do the damn deals for them. Can't just go around saying everyone is so horrid to one another and cry about it..... especially when you may have been around for years but never contribute to the discussion ~~ Well of course you CAN .... again.... it's just silly~!
Anyone who needs help in the DS forums can always go into the Chat threads..... A LOT of us help out the nooblets... as long as they follow the ~Basic Rules~

People who contribute very little haven't earned the right to complain about getting deals. You aren't being singled out, everyone is subjected to the same posts.. There are idiots everywhere in life, and you are the only person that can control how it impacts you.
My problem with you just from my initial exposure to you in this thread: Don't post stupid messages in improper forums.. This is not a deal, nor is it a Drugstore / Grocery B&M deal / discussion.

Don't have any power or control in real life, huh? Lousy job or lousy marriage, maybe being told what to do all the time and how to do it? So...you get on the net and try to get some control of your own over strangers who can't stop you. They can't fire you and they can't divorce you.

But there are How To Threads for RA, Wags & CVS.... there are Chat Threads for RA Wags, Target & Walmart, there is even a Couponing 101 thread....
All the op or ANYONE has to do is the basic research and then ask questions in whatever thread that it relates to.... Like I said before A LOT of people take the time to answer questions ~~~ As long as the person shows some initiative to help themselves
