So what do you think about the new shows so far?
I like New Girl, it was a bit awkward and slow at the beginning but by the end of the show, I was hooked. There were some funny jokes and good casting. I love the Small spoiler:
Two Broke Girls, I made the mistake of watching a short clip online about a week ago and thought it looked terrible but DH set it to tape. Turns out the short clip was the least funny line in the whole show, the rest of the show was witty and downright funny.
Unforgettable, meh. I'll watch one more because DH wants to, but wasn't that fussed over it. There were a couple of really annoying points in the show. Huge spoiler:
Free Agents, really liked this one. Good cast and a really good pilot. Just hope they can keep it up without it becoming tired.
The Secret Circle. Typical trying to cash in on Twilight show, only with witches. Couldn't get through one episode.
Same thing with Ringer, had to turn it off part way through the pilot.
Some shows I'm looking forward to, haven't aired yet....
Awake (no air date at this time but the trailer is really interesting and the lead actor is one of my faves, he's British)
Grimm (trailer looks good, even though the premise sounds silly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kh3rFsv_WSE it airs 10/28, date changed)
Pan Am (Like Madmen in the air?
airs 9/25)
Person of Interest (the trailer looks really good, interesting premise airs 9/21)
Prime Suspect (there's a British Show by the same name, so I guess they're doing an American version
Airs 9/22)

Was so glad to hear Suits has been renewed (Summer 2012) as it's really good. Not your typical show about lawyers, at all.
Suits is everything that Franklin & Bash should have been.
I'm still hanging in there on pan am and person of interest, but they're nothing special. I'm just catching up on weekends. Gave up on Unforgettable, not that I don't think it will last I just don't like it that much.
Terra Nova, I won't miss. It's good.
Pan Am I think is getting better. At least it is getting more interesting. And since Sunday is a pretty dead night, it gets watched. Person of Interest is, I think, the best new drama of the season.
Terra Nova, I do not watch. premise doesnt interest me.
Unforgettable, really isn't.
Terra Nova, DH likes it but I'm still deciding. It has potential as long as it doesn't turn into a soap opera.
BBCA has started airing the UK version of Free Agents. It's a lot raunchier than the US version but BBCA is bleeping out the good bits.
I like Prime Suspect, they're doing a good job with the plot line. The thing that annoys me is her makeup, it's hideous and makes her look like old leather. They need to fire the makeup artist. That and the hat, lose the hat!
Person of Interest is really good, I would highly recommend it but you have to watch it from the start or you'll be lost.
Unforgettable really isnt. I agree.
I actually like the US Free Agents better than the new WIll Arnett comedy.
Prime Suspect is growing on me. They are progressing the plotline enough to hold my interest. I dont much mind the hat though. Think it adds to her character. All the memorable TV detectives had their trademark "thing". Kojak had lollipops, Sipowicz had his short sleeve shirts, Columbo had his rumpled overcoat, etc.
I liked Suits a lot too.
Also really like Person of Interest. All episodes I have seen have been really good.
Terra Nova shows some promise.
The sets are well done, they're spending an absolute fortune on the series.

- t's so easy to get back episodes now.
- it keeps me from getting invested in a show only to have it cancelled abruptly, meaning no closure/decent finale.
- i avoid shows that see high critical/viewer praise for the first half of the season, but spiral down in the second half and make those who loved the earlier episodes watch a bunch of crap in the hope that things might get back on track (see: Killing, The).
an extreme example: i'm just trying out Rescue Me. of course, every once in a while, a Boardwalk Empire comes around and i jump on after the first episode.Wait, what about Zombie dinosaurs? Would bullets work then?
Was not that fussed on Pan Am or Playboy Club. Of course DH, being a guy, wants to give them another try.
Person of Interest and Prime Suspect were both really good. Set up a season pass for them.
Zombie dinosaurs would be unstoppable, since you have to destroy the brain, and dinosaurs brains are the size of a pea inside a thick skull. Tanks might stand a chance, one on one. Or battleships.
