The funny thing is, I don't want to live under the hellish plantation that people like Ryu and his fellow occupiers would enslave me and the rest of us in.

MLK was probably smart enough to get a permit.
Sounds about right. I shudder to think of what kind of world that would be..

Wait...I thought it was a pricate college campus? If so, that's not public. And we can play the "if" game all day if you want. I'd be willing to bet that if a senior citizen, person in a wheelchair, etc walked up to them, they'd gladly move aside and let them through. If someone is levelheaded enough to have a peaceful protest to voice their opinions, what automatically makes you guys think that they would choose to be dickheads to everyone? How exactly would that help their cause and help them gain supporters? Some of these hypothetical scenarios that people come up just don't seem like they have an iota of thought put into them.
Don't like the law, then work to get it changed. Until then, don't be surprised when you get a face full of pepper spray.

The Davis faculty and administration are largely sympathetic to the students causes.

They believe that tuition should be free and you should get a $100K plus salary without benefits for a BA in transgender studies degree.

Really were there handicap and senior citizens complaining that a bunch of students were blocking the roadway?

It doesn't matter if someone is bitching or not, they broke the law. That's like saying I can park in a handicapped spot as long as no one complains about it.

No, protest all you want. Do it legally. For some reason you have supreme difficultly with understanding what is legal and what is not.

Is it someone's hypothetical Constitutionally protected right to stand up for a police state that pepper sprays those who go against Obama's opinion?

Oh, snap.

Lemme guess.. having a gun makes you "anti-peaceful"..

Hell, if I was going to any one of these occupy rallies, I'd bring a weapon. Too much rape, drug use, and assault occurring. Just makes sense to be armed. Occupiers have no room to talk when it comes to "peaceful protests".

None, because they were following the LAW.

How about all the people at Occupy protests that had their personal freedom assaulted by fellow Occupy protestors through sexual assault?

You make a valid point here. The students could of handled it differently. However, I didn't see anything in the video/article that warranted the need for pepper spray (other than police ego). Does it mention if anyone (from the college) even asked the students if they could just slide over some and they would be allowed to continue to protest? I'd be willing to bet that never happened. What's more likely, IMO, is that some college admin staff came down and TOLD them to move (which I'm sure he'd be well within his authority to do so), but in a manner that would leave anyone standoffish and resistant. At that point the cops were probably called to remove them. Again...just my opinion, as I don't know the whole story.
The thing is, this action wasn't against protesting, this action was against blocking the sidewalk
If you watched the video, the protestors who went on the grass were left alone
Only these few students insisted on defying the rules and "chained" themselves up.

The police asked them to clear the tents and move out of the sidewalk by 3PM that day, they refused.

Secret I'm pretty sure that's what they were doing.

And as much as some people want to make a huge deal out of the legalities of "blocking a sidewalk", we all know it's a farking retarded excuse. Every single one of us probably break 50 laws a day...granted not murder or rape or theft, etc. but driving 1MPH over the speed limit is illegal, not crossing in a crosswalk, etc. In fact here is a list of absolutely retarded laws in various states (http://www.dumblaws.com/). These laws are mostly ignored because everyone knows they're pretty much meaningless/useless. From what I saw, they weren't blcoking access to any buildings or anything else on campus...just that someone would have to walk a few steps in the grass to get around them. Could they have handled it better? Probably. But the college could of also just left it alone and let it play itself out and no one would of got hurt.
