There are many theories on the causes of obesity. Some say too much fat, too many calories. Ironically, many of the modern diets have generally failed to fix the problem.
The above video is long. For people who will reply with tl;dr here is the synopsis:
Watch it if you get a chance. I really enjoyed it and found it both eye opening and informative, without needing some shock factor or sex to sell it. It follows a simple premise and makes a lot of sense.

And please read my previous post about survival of the fittest.
You guys seriously need to learn what that phrase actually means.
Well they certainly have set the bar high for their employees, haven't they?
You can spend hours on slickdeals every day and still get promoted!
Patches O'Houlihan: If you're going to become true dodgeballers, then you've got to learn the five d's of dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge!
Does all that broth you're drinking help to improve brain function? If not, you should find something that does.

I agree that it can be a factor in obesity. I cannot agree that it is the factor in obesity.

Please just watch it and then reply. Let's stop going in circles.

I used to think exactly the way everyone here posted (portion control, calorie in calorie out, excercise, etc.), but there are a lot of things I didn't get (I never got the 25+ weight gain everyone complains about and I don't exercise, I know some obese people who eat far fewer and better calories than me and still maintain the weight, obese 6 month olds, etc.). The video in the OP provided some in depth explanations of those very things and a good amount of practical evidence to support it.

Second, the game itself doesn't enhance preparedness. The work that must be put into yourself to better equip you for the next game is the preparedness. The drive to do better is the preparedness. If you settle for being one of the first people to get knocked out at this young age then that mentality will follow you through life. These types of kids don't have any interest in enhancing themselves. They have no interest in bettering themselves. This theme will repeat for the rest of their life unless they finally realize that you get out only what you put in. This game is real life whether you want to see it or not.
