There are many theories on the causes of obesity. Some say too much fat, too many calories. Ironically, many of the modern diets have generally failed to fix the problem.
The above video is long. For people who will reply with tl;dr here is the synopsis:
Watch it if you get a chance. I really enjoyed it and found it both eye opening and informative, without needing some shock factor or sex to sell it. It follows a simple premise and makes a lot of sense.

I didn't take any pills or any type of supplements to make me lose weight. I have lost 55 pounds till this date and proud of it. Problem I believe is the eating habits as I saw a bit of the video you need to cut sugars eat more veggies and drink a hell of a lot more water.
I have no problem spending an extra 10 or 15 minutes in the gym if it gets me a nice big greasy burger.
I tried watching the video but it's 90 minutes long. I would have given them the chance to state their argument but not at the expense of an hour and a half of my time.
I stated my argument in just 1 post and it's more believable then the sugar conspiracy.
Your greasy burger is beneficial to you b/c the fat in the meat fills you up, and tells your brain you are full, then you stop eating. The bun you eat it on is basically poison. Some people can tolerate more poison than others. (This also speaks to your later posts defending the sugar in your own diet.)
Now allow me to attempt a summary, that will also be lacking... The US government bought into a heart disease study of various nations from the 1970s that improperly correlated saturated fat in diets with heart disease... yet the two outlier nations who had high fat diets and low heart disease were ignored by scientists and the government bureaucracy. The 35 years since have seen an explosion in obesity not only b/c of the sedentary nature of our lives, but also b/c of the quality of our food, and its contents. The low fat craze is part of the problem. Low fat products take out the fat and replaced it with more carbs... carbs make you hungry and insulin resistant (over time), and you eat more b/c the blood sugar spikes and then falls flat. Fat makes people feel full.
As we replaced fat in our diets with refined carbohydrates and other processed components, people just kept getting fatter. Some people might be able to exercise enough to mitigate the effects of one sandwich a week... but every day, along with a Dr Pepper? Hard to do.

Start worrying:
Well played, but that second one definitely flew off of our table last thanksgiving!!
I don't care for aspartame (mainly just taste-wise) but it can break down into methanol and formaldehyde...but it exits your system before that happens. I still think it's gross though...
I'm always a fan of regular sucrose, but I'd rather sucralose for complete calorie free stuff. Saccharin is calorie free but to keep it stable most add maltodextrin to it which has calories.
I always go by everything in moderation, so if your replacing sugar in your coffee or tea with sucralose then that should be fine, but don't go baking tons of sweets and stuff with it and eat all of it often and think you'll be fine.
My family is living proof that you could indulge without getting fat.

of course you can but you have to be in the .000000000000000001% who actually get the physical activity they need. for most people the only work they do is walking to and from the car and to and from the fridge... not hard to see the problem here.
You eat fiber though, so you shit it all out

i dont know when in the history of time penguins flew, im sure they did but its been a while, however we managed to ground the turkey lol. by selectively breeding etc them to give 300% or more breast meat because thats what americans want to eat so.. that one was COMPLETELY our fault.
