This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Meanwhile my doctor encouraged me to drink some dark ale beers to stimulate my milk to come in. (It was 4 days!)

Yep, Guiness! My mom always said a beer helps enrich your BM. Well, my mom didn't drink when we were babies so I Dontknow about her! laugh out loud

Today is officially craptastical nap day. First nap of the day about 45 mins. Extremely tired and fussy about an hour later so I lay him back down. He's up in 2 minutes and then I manage to get 30 mins in the swing (yeah, can you believe it in the freaking swing he hates) up for well over 2 hours and he is now pissed off at the world SCREAMING. I try rocking, I try vibrating bouncy seat, I try swing (to which he says I know what you did earlier lady eff this swing), I try walking and bouncing...I tried everything. Strap the screaming banshee in his carseat and take a ride. He's asleep. Get back in the house and leave him in his carseat in his dark room...he's up before I can make it to the living room. Picked him up, plugged him up with his Nuk and rocked him in the rocker. He was trying to look around at everything in the room and he was still fussing so I played the "you're a little birdie" game and put a receiving blanket over him like he was nursing. Stinker finally went to sleep. Playing "babbling brook" for white noise and Praying he at least gets an hour in or tonight is gonna be ugly.

No doubles here.

Oh, and story of my life. laugh out loud

Oh yeah the qty thing farks up auto's every time. Comfort

So 2 weeks ago the CNP said LJ has a lactose intolerance. I clear dairy from my diet. Drank Lactaid since it has no lactose. Yesterday pediatrician says he has a milk protein allergy which is still in Lactaid Doh. No wonder we saw no improvement! I was just thinking all that BM that I have in the freezer will have to be tossed. Got some rice milk...man that stuff is skimmer than skim milk. Are there any coupons out for that stuff? I am nervous to try soy milk.

So yeah, that baby acne WAS a rash. She also misdiagnosed that one. His cheeks were "chapped" and flaking...that was most likely eczema. Funny how all of that baby acne cleared right up within a week of my cutting out nearly all dairy.

I am definitely the front runner for the mom of the year title.

Yeah rice milk is a little. . . it's like it's not even there. laugh out loud Soy is rich and nutty. It's sort of a love it or hate it thing. But the chocolate kind is usually yummy. drool

The only time I eat it is on my cereal. I'll give it 2 weeks and if he's cleared up I'll introduce soy milk into my diet.

Hey Thrifty,
I remember when you posted those pics of your son, and I kind of thought it looked like eczema, but wasn't sure. My son had a really bad rash/dry face skin problem when he was 3 months old. I had been breastfeeding, but switched to Enfamil formula about 2 weeks before he started to have skin problems. We brought him to the Dr and she said he had eczema, and he had to do with the kind of formula he was drinking. So we switched him to soy formula and his skin started getting better. He's been drinking regular milk since he was 1 (he'll be 3 in December) and his skin has been fine ever since.

Here's a pic of him when he had really bad eczema on his face...

Second pic is 10 days later...most of the eczema is gone except that small area on his left cheek (it was gone in a few more days)...

Who was it that needed the hotels.com code? BFShopGirl? I've been searching as I doubt I will use my code.

DS is doing fabulous. He probably felt well enough to return to school but no way was I putting other kiddos at risk. His teacher wrote me and said the school nurse is being overly cautious too and treating every flu symptom like the swine flu, since technically it isn't flu season yet. So I hope other parents keep their sick kids home too. I mean they have a doctors excuse so no need to send them to school earlier than advised.
I posted on my facebook and was surprised that several children of distant friends have had it as well. I got comments like "Caleb was better in 3 days" and "Isabelle had it and they said give her Tylenol and keep her home for a few days" So I feel much better about it. The rest of us feel just fine, thankfully Pray
It is me Wink that wants the hotels.com codes! & currently I am on kid #3 being sick. Started with my 6 y/o, he started not feeling well on our last day at the beach...cried thw whole 3 hrs home, took him 3 days to feel better but still has a bit of fever and cough. then DD was wiped out starting when the other starts to feel better, and now the baby is a running snot faucet and has a fever. I got my flu shot on wednesday of last week and so far doing well but I have that Mommy-thingy where I am well and fine to take caRE OF all the sick kids...then sick DH and once everyone is in full force I crash down with 5x the sick they all had. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) wha cha gunna do!?!

for WAGS
there are 2 IVCs for the theraflu and both work(different wags numbers on them) so if you buy 3 at 12.00, $6.00 comes off with one IVC and $6.00 comes off with the second IVC. If you have the 2.00 man Q's,- use those first for nice MM- and get an $8.00 cat back. I think this is a monthly deal- so should keep working. some have reported finding peelies on the theraflu. There are also bonus boxes with extras. This is similar to the robi deal last year
I'm confused as to where to find the 2nd ivc...one in the healthy savings and the other is....?

I have not found the second IVC either. Someone posted a pic of the second one and it looks different, but it still says $30 of savings. Someone said it was found at the Walgreens stores that have a clinic.

they are posted (both) in the Wags thread. both are from healthy savings books but each with a different cover - 2 different books. I thought it might be a monthly deal for the 8.00 RR-but now I am not sure

Teri, congrats on the house!

If anyone here shops at Ann Taylor Loft, here is the coupon for $25 off $50: 106020031
It only works on full price merchandise, but that includes specials". So I just got two sweaters and a pair of tights (which I will retrun for a $12 store credit) for $35.45, including shipping. Not too bad since the sweaters are normally $39.50 each. So after I return the tights, it's $23.45 including shipping for two nice sweaters. The coupon expires tonight at midnight.

Target related, I found these peelies for a free movie ticket for Toy Story and Toy Story 2, up to a $14 value. They expire "10/31/09 or last date in theaters". They are over the plastic on some DVDs, but under the plastic on most. The DVDs were on sale for $14.99 and I still had a few $10 Disney MQs, so not a bad deal. They were on Finding Nemo, Monster's Inc and some Christmas Disney movie that was red.

Also, the "quantity" button at Target is doing funny things, definately new. Apparently now my jedi can no longer hit the quantity button for quantities of less than 5 for sure. She was able to do it for 30 cans of dog food, but I was wondering if anyone knows the magic number that they can enter a quantity?

Congrats Teri! WTG! Thumbsup

Had a fab shopping day. 1 KM and 2 T.

Used a lot of cpns.
Everything went well.
R.I.P Hasbro cpn Frown
Felt like a tool using the rest of my Schick MQ/TQs tonight since the mfg. expires tomorrow. Been holding on to them but alas, no sale next week either. Right off the bat, that's a thick stack of cpns! nod
Found & bought lots of clearance at 75%

Tonight for the first time I found multipacks of 8 bottles of vitamin water. These came in more varieties than the 4 packs. I have been trying to stock up on these before the end of the year.Anyways, the pack was $7.99. Also, I noticed that the single bottles were $1.02..So the 8 pack is slightly cheaper than buying them individually. They were the same price as Sobe. Hmm. Did I mention that I found B2G1 Vitamin Water cpns? Could make for a good deal Wink

DH has an amazing job he got and now its 1.5-2hr each way driving Frown So we are going to start looking in a year. I am scared!
