Target Chit Chat

5,198 1,334 July 25, 2007 at 02:54 PM in Chat
This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Okay.. talked to my family cause I must say they are pretty much video game experts (well, they should be as much as they study it).. MY boys are 12, 16, and the hubby. Between them, we have 2 xbox 360 systems, a PS3, and a Wii..
Here is their professional recommendation:

They say the 4 controllers and nunchucks are a must.. the bowling game is included with wii sports along with tennis, baseball, and boxing.. You can get a game called wii play and it comes with a controller and it is mini games such as ping pong, target shooting, etc. Then there is wii sports resort and it has frisbee, sword fighting, basketball, jet skiing, etc.
As far as the racing games go.. my sons say mario cart is the best racing game out there..
And the new mario game that just came out is really popular. The new super mario brothers

Hope that helps!
Thank you so much for the tips! I am not there yet - but I am making notes for when we are at that point! Muchly appreciated!!!!

hug hug hug Ok in my opinion - so it is worth just what you paid for it - that is wrong!!! If one joins a group of people who are going through similar experiences then one should be supported in good times AND bad!!! I really am sorry that they kicked you out ... that seems to be a ridiculous response ---

I certainly would NOT kick you out of here! I totally empathize with your concerns regarding C-sections!! As I said I had an emergency one that went just fine - and then a mandatorily scheduled one that had a bunc of complications .... I am firmly in the camp if you can possibly deliver normally please try! However - that being said - there are absolutely times/situations where a C-section is necessary so I am not opposed to them entirely --- I am opposed to them being used for convenience. I really believe that it should be your choice ... however if the contract is already written/signed you prob can not do a lot about it. You could contact a lawyer and see if there is anything you can do about that particular language/clause but I am not convinced that you would succeed.

I do think that you should be able to vent and chat- laugh/cry/rail whatever it is part of being human & is life!!! You have my support and thoughts - and you are not bothering me in the least! Feel free to post about it to your heart's content! You can always PM too and I will chat with you that way too! HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS

Only input I have for the wii is, the best games to buy are the ones made specifically for the wii. They will need the most movement to be fun. Oh, and I am totally addicted to the Lego games, but that's a different story! If you want graphics, go with the xbox, if you want to sweat while playing video games, it's the wii!

Awww sweetie!! We heart you and understand that you are going through a difficult time due to the ob/c-section and would like to help you and lend an ear... we would NEVER kick you out of here!! I agree that an automatic c-section would trouble me also.. you can ask my husband I told him if I ever get a c-section I would tie my tubes the same day LMAO I am a scaredy cat of surgery even though I probably would not do so but still... I can understand your prospective.. HUGS!! HUGS and sending lots of warm wishes Wink

I tell ya these video game folks.. I don't get it, but my hubby grew up playing them and the kids have followed his example. We too have DS systems, and they are great! Hubby has a PSP, but he uses it more for wifi and such.. It seems more fragile than the DS and I wouldn't recommend it as much for the younger crowd.
I occasionally play. I did play a few minutes of the new mario game the other night.. it was pretty fun.. And I LOVE my wii fit!

Went to T tonight. Used a lot of cpns. Left happy. Was told that they would not be taking any TQs that said supertarget on them anymore and only 1 like TQ per transaction. This is from an LOD that knows and doesn't mind me. She said that someone came to discuss target coupons with the store today. They even had a sample pepsi TQ to show what an acceptable TQ is OMG

Luckily, I only had 2 wipes TQ in my whole stack, but I can see how this will affect future runs Sadwalk
Wow, that's weird. I guess I should be glad we do have a ST somewhat nearby, but that stinks if the q's can't be used at regular T's. Frown

I just got 115 reward dollars from TRU!! YAY!! More money to spend on Christmas!!
What are reward dollars from TRU??!! Do I really want to know, or will it make me go shopping at yet another store that I don't have time to visit??? LOL!!

hug Whine away. We come here to whine, to laugh, to cry, to dump, or vent... It may not be RL, but it's still a community of sorts... So sorry things are tough right now.

hug to everyone!!

I'm in a "don't wanna do nuffin" mood today. Funny thing - I've actually gotten 3 loads of laundry done, took a 20 min. nap, emailed hubby 3x, got through teaching oldest DD her lessons for the day, read every single book my toddler owns (some twice,) managed to only take the dog out once (pawned it off on the oldest the rest of the time), and am now sitting here reading the boards. Not sure how that happened.

Remembered that I offered to send anyone any Qs from this book, as I have lots, but NO ONE took me up on it. Time is of the essence if you still want these.

Forgot to mention, I exchanged one of my games from the b2g1 for Super Mario. She asked me if the games were the same price and I said yes, so she pushed a button that allowed for an even exchange. Basically, she sold me the new Super Mario Bros for $33 (return value of the Toy Story one I returned). I was happy!
