currently reading through Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? [wikipedia.org] a coworker recommended it to me years ago, and i never got around to it until now. i'm less than 10% through it, and the first bit was pretty slow, but it's starting to pick up.

before that, i read the original version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. [wikipedia.org] i didn't really like it; it was very short and not nearly as dark as i was led to believe.

before that, i continued my Christopher Moore run with Coyote Blue. [wikipedia.org] i read a couple of his and enjoyed them, so i'm now starting at the beginning and reading them in order of release. he's a better writer in the later books, but the early ones are still enjoyable.
Last month I read this out loud to one of the kiddos I tutor. It was a lot happier than the movies!

Haven't tried the Lincoln book - may have to give it a whirl!

I'm reading Unbroken [amazon.com]right now.
Iagree Lincoln was great because it has a lot of actual history I didn't even know and a great plot with the vamps.

Cry thy pardon, sai. I too follow the path of the Beam.

And I really enjoyed this book. But, I am a Stephen King junkie. So I guess that means you should take my review with a grain of salt?

Amazon delivered the new Charlaine Harris Sookie book yesterday. Deadlocked [amazon.com]I've got about 80 pages left.

Dang... I never read the last one. laugh out loud Glad I didn't preorder this one! The last one is still sitting on my bedside table. The stack of books I had to read was too high, then I got the kindle and it's all I can do to read everything I've got on it. I'll get to it... eventually.

I read for entertainment, and those books are like watching tv for me, light & easy.

I got an e-reader for Mother's Day last year & I love it, but I have all of the other Sookie books hardcopy, so I wanted to finish out the whole set. I like finding a new series, cause I can zoom through all the books.

It's depressing to get a new book & read it in a day and have to wait a year for the next one in the series. Charlaine Harris said there will only be one more Sookie book.

Fair Game by Patricia Briggs, the latest in her Alpha & Omega series.

Also reading Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain, pretty good so far. I think this is one that I got for a quarter when Amazon was price matching the Google Play introductory deals.

I've got Deadlocked on request at libray. have missed Sookie!
