Interesting. Scratchchin We watched a program once on one of those learning channels that my hubby always has the TV on and it said that mouse hunting is a learned behavior not a genetic behavior. I never knew that.

I wish the dog hadn't learned it though. She just does it to please my hubby.

Yeah, she was definately into birds. We caught her doing it once. She looked like a lion, laying real flat in the grass and all still... then POW she leaped and snatched the bird in mid flight. The vet/bird lady we took the robin to said she missed the heart by less than a quarter inch, she was impressed. The cat also liked to climb trees and raid nests. Yeah... she stayed indoors after that. Her name was Rosie... but it needed to be something more barbaric.
