Double, I'll do the survey. If mom doesn't need it, I'll send it your way.

Mom is being released today. Yay! She's going to stay with my sister for a couple weeks (she has more room). Has to take an IV anitibiotic once a day for the 6 weeks and then go back in to have the rod removed. Hopefully she does what sh'es supposed to, keeps her sugars level, and everything will heal. These weeks will be critical. Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. I truly appreicate it.

Are there any guys reading this thread?
My guess is they are vomit after googling OB...would have been more interesting in the deals thread...to see just how many MA's will crash the system...LMAO

YAY!! Glad she gets her walking papers today..and hopefully she will heal quickly! heart

I bought some cotton balls as I'm having a hard time finding gauze to do the ketone testing thing. In the bag of CVS brand cotton balls is a $1 CVS coupon to save on aloe makeup remover pads or rectangle cotton pads. Don't expire until 2009.

If you're looking for fillers at CVS, this may be a good one. Bag was 1.99. Check for the coupon clearly visible. I would have missed it if I didn't pick up a few different bags to compare.

Outa here till later. May hit another target later, still on hunt for more food for DS. And I have to pick up a few books at borders

my sister killed one once with a baseball bat once when it attacked her.. for how small they are, they sure are vile, vicious creatures. but it sprayed her first before she killed it, and we never stopped teasing her over how bad she smelled. Stick Out Tongue
Yer sister played whack-a-skunk and lost???Yucky

My DH...little sissy that he is sometimes thinks they have nothing better to do than lift their tails...he sees one and runs 500/mph in the other direction looking for cover...shake head meanwhile the little 2 year old DD is going Hmmmm where can I stash that lil furbaby and what does he like to eat...fruities?? laugh out loud

True but it was a pain when they didn't want to give you the free cheese at the register. I had that happen a couple of times. We just ate our last cheese stick in the past month.

DH just told me that I'm not allowed to buy any more freezer items. For every item I put in the freezer he will throw something out. Whatever, how will he know? Honestly most men complain about not having enough food around. You would think he'd be thrilled.
We seem to have the freeze it and forget it problem...its awful..we just took stuff out of the freezer to make room for new stuff --- Sad when you get so busy in life that walking down to the upright freezer in the basement is just too time consuming...

Quote from littleteapot :
All this talk of cheese......makes me think of the good ol' MP cheese coupon for 50 cents off 2 and I loaded up on the individual cheese sticks.......I miss that coupon. No beeps, free cheese.
Yep!! My DD just asked me where all the LONG cheese went...laugh out loud...they need to resurrect that coupon...cheap healthy kid friendly snackage!

DH actually said the same thing. He said something along the lines, "if you don't stop getting freezer items, we might need to buy an extra freezer and that will make us pay more on our electricity bill" LMAO Just his nice way of telling me to stop getting those stuff Wink I told him its for him since I don't even eat the hotpockets nor the hashbrowns.
Hi DS wave Hope your little guy gets better wave I feel bad I can't send you my Qs for the monitor or the strips for the survey. I actually save this for my bestfried's mom who's also diabetic. Last time we saw her, she wasn't doing well. hug

do you think this is happening to us because of all the etq's I used before I quit using them? Keep trying to find a reason--

Also, I don't remember them taking manu q's, but I'm not positive.

(Ulta) They do but they are generally asshats about it. Not worth it!

Cute that some of you have Attachment 110765 for nicknames of your kids!

I watch Tori & Dean and Liam is Monkey, I always thought it was cute!
Secret DH helped a buddy with remodel work for their Bed & Breakfast in Fallbrook. He says Dean is super cool and DOES NOT have the potty mouth that they show on TV. They tell him to curse and get mad to "liven up the show". Hubby didn't have too many nice things to say about "Mama" (no not you Ro). Shutup

Quote from Nikayla :
I realized I should keep mine too. I only got two to four always per trip, well sometimes I didn't get any, out of qs, but dd is 11 so I better hang on to them. Hopefully she won't need them for awhile but I'm afraid it will be sooner than later.
Crying2 DD started when she was 11...I was nearly 16

Quote from Jen2882 :
lol exaclty...i think i can count on one hand the # of times i've used them.
Ladies shouldn't wear them (tp's) overnight, unless y'all are gonna set your alarm and change it evey 4-6 hours. It's not healthy.

Quote from Bronc :
Yup. I'm here. And sometimes I'm not so sure why!

But thanks for Trang's sympathy (for reading through the triple T's, etc.) and DS for knowing I'm a guy here!
Rock Chalk, Jayhawk!!

I just love posting that for ya Bronc! Whee

I did the survey for you as well, DS. Won't send me a meter with the One Touch selection, but when I used another address and different current meter selection, I'll be receiving another meter shortly. I'll send it on when I get it. Smilie

No worries bud, I've got plenty a comin and a pile of coupons I'm hoping I get through. Actually I'm more worried about the bonus coupons that came in these envies, there were some good ones.

I hope your BF's mom gets better. This is a sucky disease that I just don't understand.

Weird. OK I just changed the instruction post to read freestyle. Thanks for letting me know. Remember, save postage, only the strips and the lancets.

I'm going to post a pile of q's sometime this week. Must get rid of some of these that are sitting around before I just start sending random envies out

wave I just did the survey too, so 10 more strips! I'll look thru my q's and see what I can find. I know I have one lonely jello pudding q laugh out loud I know they have those in sugar free.

I've been piling up the kool aid with these kraft q's. I have no intention of making it w/ the sugar..has anyone ever tried making it w/splenda?

I pray for the same thing. It is a complicated disease. My grandfather had it. Two of my aunts have it. My DH's aunt had it as well as his dad who's now also using these meters. I always pray that DS doesn't get it. Frown Its complicated because we have to watch what food to eat, etc. It will take time to get used to and develop a system that works for you. But it will get better eventually. wave
