To know this type of information would be excellent. I could have my cake and eat it too... keeping my hotspot longer and getting a full 12 months extension.
the question you have to ask yourself is, do u feel lucky.

"well, do u punk?"

Try prepaid.t-mobile.com. Choose pay as you go. Cost is $3 plus tax. If sim number is not working then you need to contact eBay member and get a new one.
Do you mean use the website to port in to Tmobile? I verified the Tmobile SIMs and saw some were already activated and some could be used, but didn't finish the process. Will I get the PIN if I go through the on-line process? without having to receive a text or something like that?

Thanks for your help

Some days more luckier than othersSmilie
I will probably pull the trigger cause getting 5 more months on 4 lines is about a $500 saving and not a bad value for a HP.

Were you a Sprint customer recently (within 45 days)?

Is there a chance it is still listed as active on Sprint or a Sprint mvno?

What does this checker say? (It is a different one that omits the phone number check).

Thank you for the link. I am eligible and called Sprint again to connect to some other rep. Ported and active now.

What are you doing instead then?
For Hotspot? For now I live with it hanging up and needing to fiddle with my phone occasionally.

After my Sprint deal ends, I'm planning to go back to Tello. Unlimited is nice but I honestly don't need it.

Yup, you have to call CS or chat with them online and give them the g6 play's IMEI and sim number so they can switch your phone service over to the g6 play. Just do not mention at all that it's a Boost mobile branded phone. Some people said if you instant chat at night the CS team writing to you is from another country and they don't even ask you what phone it is, just the IMEI and sim number.

Also do not power on the phone until you've activated it with Sprint as it will lock the phone to Boost.
Excellent tips but that last paragraph is not true. It is an urban myth.

It is a good idea not to open the box for ease of return though.

Important Questions (I read faq):

I have a Verizon basic number that I can port to Spring & I also have a Sprint unlocked iPhone 5S – will I be able to use this?

When I go to sprint website to check IMEID, I get a message stating: "Ineligible, this phone (iPhone 5s) does not qualify for this offer."

Will I be able to activate it some other way or do I need to buy a Verizon iPhone SE instead? I'd prefer to keep the iPhone 5S, so should I temporarily buy a cheap smart phone like a Moto to activate it then try to swap from the Moto back to the Sprint iPhone 5S?

Also, can I swap the phone after it's on Sprint or will the phone get kicked off if it's under 120 days. Not sure if swapping an eligible phone is the same as upgrading.

I am confused why the Sprint iPhone 5S is not counting – can't I just borrow/buy/return some phone like a Verizon iPhone SE and upgrade the basic line on Verizon -> transfer to Spring -> swap the sim card from the SE into the (Sprint) 5s?

From my experience, they won't activate the free service on a phone that came from Sprint. To get the free deal, the phone you bring needs to be on the list and can't have come from Sprint originally. But, also from my experience, you can swap in a Sprint phone later, so what you describe would be possible. You could borrow a friend's Verizon iPhone (you would need a new Sprint sim kit), activate using that, then swap to your Sprint 5s.

I am having the same issue with several Iphones models 6S - 8. Called in and Sprint says they cannot be activated on their system. Offered me $20 off per month on new iphone 8's but then I don't get the free unlimited. Wonder if this is their way of winding down the promo.
