Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Just received an email stating: Your Unlimited promo is ending soon 01/31/2019

1) When should I begin the cancellation? on 01/31 or now?
I don't want to get charge the normal rate for a month if they bill me a month prior to cancellation for normal rate

2) Does porting out one line cancel all three lines on same account?
One line will be ported to MetroPCS. The other two lines will not be ported anywhere, i just want them cancelled.
Porting out one line does not cancel them all. But why not re up again with another SSN. all the details are in the wiki

Wiki does not say exactly when we should cancel the promo.
I don't have multiple social security numbers.

If you port out it takes effect immediately.

If you call and cancel it is at end of billing cycle.

Best call and ask to talk to Account Services and work out the best arrangements.

Actually you have to do so if you want to cancel without porting out.

There is no other way to cancel other than either porting out or talking to Account Services. Otherwise you will continue to be billed but at the high paid plan rate.

If you want a permanent paid plan for $25 a month, KickStart is open until January 3.

You can also get off Sprint for 45 days and then you will be eligible to start over as a new customer, if the free plan is still open.

You can leave it all to mid-January or even late January if you want, though, according to other posters, but I do not see the point in leaving it open to the last minute..

Sorry if this has been answered already but there's way to many pages to read through. Just signed up about a week ago with an iPhone XS. All good so far. Followed instructions per wiki. Setup autopay. First bill was $4.69 in NY. My question is, if I full pay for an Apple Watch 3 cellular can I add that to my plan for free service as well and just pay the tax? I was approved for 5 lines.

OK thanks. I will call them to cancel mid- Jan. I just wanted to make sure they dont charge my card in advanced for the month of Feb-Mar at regular price because I did not tell them a month prior.

I plan on coming back to Sprint after 45 days only if this free promo is still available. If not, Ill stick with MetroPCS as they offer free unlimited music streaming for DI.FM which I listen to in car.

I got the same email too..
I am wondering what is the default pin number for port out.
Do I have to call Sprint to get pin number that is used to port out ?

It is your normal account PIN.

It is the PIN number you created when you signed up. If you forgot to write that down then you will have to call or chat and answer some identification questions. I store all my important information in a password manager of which there are many to choose from.

Ah sorry about that. I swear I read the whole thing, but obviously I didn't read everything.

On another note. Anyone in the Northern Virginia/DC area go with this? And do you have issues with congestion?

Quote from edog11 :
The reps were wrong. If you ported out or cancelled on or before 10/9/18 you would not be charged for paid plan. Your statement on 10/10/18 should have been $0. If you didn't cancel by 10/9/18 you would have been charged full $60++ on 10/10/18 for service for 10/10 to 11-9 and would owe full amount as sprint doesn't prorate final month.
So you actually got 13 months free if you cancelled on 10/9/18. Some people getting up to 15 months free even without a port out/ port in renewal.
edog11 is the real expert on this in posts like the above.

Perhaps he can comment / clarify / correct if needed but I think his earlier post quoted above is helpful if read in context.

It means nothing.

That was a note (not part of the wiki) by a SlickDeals editor that has confused some people. He meant that that particular version of the list was obsolete / incomplete..

The phone is still eligible.
Ah good to know, thanks for this!

I just logged into my sprint online account and it says:
$10.23 will be charged to your card on Jan 01
So, I am presuming on Feb 1st it will charge at the normal rate. I will call two weeks prior to Jan 31st to cancel all three lines.

I did sign up for this on Nov.10 2017, so with an expiration of Jan 31 2019, this has turned out to be a 15-month free deal instead of one year
