It uses an M.2 connection which some recent desktop and laptop motherboards support, but you will have to check your specific model for sure. Also note it's an M.2 2280, meaning 80mm in length. Some laptops only have room for the shorter 2242 or 2260 drives.

Thanks for the tip! Been waiting for a good price on this to replace my failing HDD. And to top it off, an Amazon chat rep offered to price adjust for me if I ordered immediately (post-order adjustment)! He actually never even confirmed the Fry's price and just took my word for $144...
